All Barahona Tours & Excursions in 2026

Escape tourist traps and embrace wild nature with this day at Bahía de Las Águilas beach. You'll begin by discovering the Jaragua National Park while driving a coastal road that runs by ports and local villages. Then board a boat in Las Cuevas for a short ride to the beach. Spend the day swimming or snorkeling in the crystal water in between relaxing and lunching on the shore. Hotel pickup is included for added convenience.

If you're looking for an otherworldly experience, a visit to Isla Cabritos National Park is a must. Situated in the Independencia region, the park is home to the stunning Lake Enriquillo. Despite the lack of rainfall in the area, the park is teeming with wildlife, including birds, crocodiles, scorpions, and iguanas. Visitors can take a boat ride on the lake to get up close and personal with the American crocodiles that call it home. Or, for a truly unique experience, explore the Taino cave "Las Caritas." And don't forget to take a dip in one of the natural sulfur water pools!
