The BEST THING YOU CAN DO IN GUADALAJARA! Do not miss this! Naomi was so kind and everything was so well done and organized. We decided to make carne en su jugo and it was delicious. It was a simple dish but she also taught us to make homemade blue corn tortillas from scratch!!! The market was so fun because everyone knew her and we got to see a lot. 10/10 recommend this tour. Ive taken many tours in many different parts of Mexico but this one is probably the best one! Hector, our guide, felt more like a great friend. He was very informative but very chill. Also never rushed us and his timing of the tour was perfect! Every time we moved on from a spot, it started to get very busy but because of his timing, he made the day flow so smoothly. I also loved that it was a small group, only 7 of us. I much prefer this over 40+ people. I just cannot recommend this tour enough but if possible, make sure its with Hector!

Norberto was the greatest tour guide. He made us feel like we learned so much about this town.

Norberto took us on a beautiful drive with his knowledge to go along with us. Every stop was part of our tour that came with much knowledge from Norberto and made it fun at the same time. He gave us a decent amount of time for our free time and gave us the best recommendation to have lunch at as well, LA CUEVA DON CENOBIO RESTAURANT, it’s an old Hacienda smack down in the middle of the little town but you wouldn’t know it because it’s covered by its own walls. It just made our day after just sitting and enjoying a delicious lunch in such a beautiful town. Afterward we walked and explored the quaint town that made me feel like time has not touched it. It was a full day that’s for sure so pack your patience and energy. Don’t miss this tour with Norberto.

Our tour guide did a great job throughout the whole trip. It was interesting learning the process for making tequila. I had taken another tour the day before at another tequila distillery in Amatitán, but some of the facts learned during this tour were not mentioned the day before. I liked that people weren't pressured into drinking as not everyone wanted to participate in the tequila tasting, and who were also able to choose how full of a shot glass we wanted. I think we could have been at the restaurant a little less time as once we were done eating we had to wait a while to move on to the next town. I also expected to get a free drink for the boat ride since it was mentioned in the post, but we ended up getting it after lunch for our ride to Ajijic, once we were in the van. It was tequila with squirt, but you couldn't really taste the tequila. Overall, it was a great experience.

Fantastic experience for solo traveler!

Rodrigo was an amazing guide and I had a fantastic time on the Fire tour! I was expecting “small group” to mean a van with 10 people, but we only had 3 guests in a regular car, making for a very personal experience. I only speak English, one customer only speaks Spanish and one spoke both. Rodrigo did an amazing job of switching between languages effortlessly without making anyone felt left out. The tour was educational, well worth the price, and was a full day of experiences. We learned about the ancestral and industrial production techniques for making tequila (and the difference between tequila and mescal), had time to wander around the town of Tequila, and had a great morning at the pyramids learning about the ancient civilizations. Highly recommend!

Love this scenic tour in which I got to see the Chapala Lake and two beautiful towns by the lake. Pick up was easy and on time and the entire trip was well paced- not rushed at all! I don't think I fully knew what I was getting myself into when I booked this tour, but I would highly recommend. They take you to several spots where you get a variety of tequila tastings. If you're not really a drinker, just be mindful that this a big component to this tour (if you couldn't tell from the name). Our guide was super knowledgeable and provided a very comfortable experience for the whole group. Great activity to do solo, as a couple, or with a group of friends.

10/10 – Worth every penny! This tour was absolutely worth the value. Our guide, Mich, was fantastic — fun, knowledgeable, and able to answer every question we threw at her, whether it was about the local area or the ins and outs of the tequila distillery process. The group size was small enough to keep things intimate, and by the end everyone genuinely felt like friends. We visited two distilleries, and both were memorable in their own way. The first was a small-batch operation where the owners themselves greeted us and spoke with real passion about their craft — you could tell how much love went into every bottle, and the tequila was delicious. The second distillery was more developed and polished, with genuinely beautiful grounds. Breakfast was a highlight too — a local, no-frills spot on the side of the road where you could order as many gorditas, tacos, and quesadillas as you wanted. Absolutely delicious. One heads up: be prepared to be out for about 12 hours, so pace yourself! But honestly, it was worth every minute. Highly recommend requesting Mich as your guide!
