Top Calgary Day Trips

This trip covers a lot of site seeing around Banff National Park and allows time for lunch in downtown Banff. We got picked up in Canmore which was convenient for us. The tour was 9 hours, which seems like a long time, but since the tour included so many sites, it didn’t feel that long. We started with the Banff Gondola. Our tour guide, Ram was great. He helped us with getting the gondola tickets. You have a little over an hour up top. The scenery was amazing. They had outside observation decks and chairs to relax. You can also hike. Next we soaked in the Banff mineral springs. I highly recommend it. I felt renewed and relaxed after a 10 minute soak. We then went to Bow falls, which was picturesque. Ram was ready to help with pictures. He even did a 360 picture for us. It looks professional. We then got an hour in Banff to shop or eat. We grabbed some lunch. The afternoon included, surprise corner, Johnson Lake, two Jacks lake and Lake Minnewanka. I could be leaving something out. Not sure. We had ice cream from the snack shack at Kake Minnewanka. It was better than Cows in Banff. The price is right. I’d definitely recommend this tour

Awesome experience! Our guide, Tina, was a wealth of knowledge about Canada and Calgary history. The art (murals and statues) that we saw were amazing and the bars we went to served amazing flights of local craft beers and ciders! Highly recommend this tour.

This was a well organized tour that covered so many iconic places. We could take in the beauty of the Canadian Rockies rather than be distracted by driving and finding parking spots. The tour guide was courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, and had a good sense of humor. We highly recommend Viator tours.

The Calgary walking tour was excellent! Our guide, Chad, was very knowledgeable and shared so many interesting insights about the city. He also showed us hidden gems in downtown Calgary that we would have easily missed on our own. A fantastic way to explore the city—highly recommended!

The badlands is areally cool place thats worth taking the tour for. The scenery is vastly different from what you see at the rockies as a tourist. The Tyrell museum was interesting. It would be amazing for people that are more into dinosaurs. The hoodoos were the highlight for the tour. We saw some wildilfe on the way and our guid walid was kind enough to stop or turn back for us to take pictures. Walid is general very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I also liked the trip duration. It was not too long or too short. The only negative thing in the trip for me would be the audio tour guide that would play from time to time and break up some of our conversation 🙃

This was our first visit to Calgary. The tour was fun and interesting, and we learned a lot about the city. Our guide was knowledgeable and made the tour one of the best we’ve been on. We even took her advice on a restaurant for dinner! Five stars all around.
