Fun day at Paradise Island

The boat ride through the mangroves Wheels intensely fun, the snorkeling was great around The Sandbar. The snorkel gear was about average but it didn't take away from the overall experience. There was no snorkeling style vests just the best that we wore on the boat. But overall I give the excursion five stars because it was a ton of fun it was very informative the food was great and truly I had nothing to really complain about. Be aware it's over an hour Transit ride from Puerto Plata to the beach where you get into the boats. I'll be doing it again with the same group for sure!

Our excursion took place in the middle of a thunderstorm && somehow they were able to make it more fun. The entire crew is wonderful, charming, funny and go above and beyond in service. Super Buggy for those looking for off roading adventure

Super buggy was a great excursion. The xuv course was thrilling. The water hazards left you drenched so, I would recommend wearing bathing suits and water shoes/crocs or something to that effect. They rent goggles but I recommend you bring a gaiter or bandana from home to cover your mouth/nose. Super Buggy sells action pics/video of you driving all along the course that you can purchase. I may post a couple when I get off this cruise. Also be prepared to walk to the pick up spot it’s a little bit of a hike. I highly recommend this excursion for those wanting to get a few thrills and chills in the form of an off road adventure. Adults will love this just as much as kids will love it.

Great Mountain/City Experience

Our Puerto Plata City Tour with Mountain Views was one of the highlights of our cruise! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The drive up the mountain was filled with tropical plants, colorful flowers, and incredible views that made the trip worthwhile even before reaching the top. Once we arrived we enjoyed the views of the city and shores below which provided some of our favorite photos from the day. What made this excursion exceptional was our guide, Juan Carlos. He spoke excellent English, making it easy to understand everything he shared. His knowledge of Puerto Plata, its history, culture, and daily life was impressive, and he answered every question with enthusiasm and detail. Juan Carlos went above and beyond to personalize the tour. As we talked throughout the day, he learned what interested us and made a point to show us additional places and point out things that matched those interests. It never felt like a scripted tour—it felt like exploring Puerto Plata with a knowledgeable local who genuinely wanted us to have the best possible experience. I highly recommend this excursion. Be sure to ask for Juan Carlos if you have the chance—you won't be disappointed!

Visiting Monkeyland in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic was one of the absolute highlights of our trip! It’s such a unique, interactive experience—especially if you love animals. The squirrel monkeys are incredibly friendly and will climb right onto your shoulders, arms, and even your head if you let them! It felt surreal having them gently take food right out of our hands. The staff was knowledgeable and guided us the entire time, making sure both the guests and the monkeys were safe and comfortable.

Don't come on this adventure if you don't like to drink and party because your glass will never be empty and the tunes won't stop. Nah but seriously its fun if you don't like to do that either. Took us to two spots for some snorkeling. The BBQ on board was legit from ribs to chicken wings. Would do it again!!

What a great day. The communication from Austin was great. Then add in Carlos (our driver) was clear, easy. Our tour was very knowledgeable. We were able to roll our own cigar. Learned a lot! Hanging out afterwards with a cigar and a cocktail just made it all a great day. We took our driver Carlos out for coffee afterwards. Just do it! Get to know the locals as well. Beautiful sights and expert care!

This excursion was exactly what we hoped for. We got to see some of the major sights of the city, and got to sample rum, chocolate, and cigars which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately the cable car was under renovation so we were unable to do that, but Jose made sure we were well taken care of and drove us around the city like a pro. We would definitely recommend him and this private tour.
