Usoa, our most knowledgeable and friendly guide, conducted a delightful, interesting and “fulfilling” Basque-themed culinary tour through beautiful Bilbao. In the course of visiting several cafes for food and drink, we had a walking tour of the vibrant Bilbao city center and Old Town, while Usoa spoke of the local history, culture and language of Bilbao and the Basque people. This was a rewarding experience.

Our guide Stephane was very knowledgeable about Basque culture, history and particular points of interest. he translated everything in both English and Spanish throughout the entire day. He showed us where to buy good quality jamon, sausages and specialty products. The tour in San Sebastián was especially nice.; we were taken to a great view point and then give us suggestions where to go to best explore the city and Stephane provided fantastic recommendations for lunch. At Ganaria’s on Calle 31 Agusto we ate amazing Pintxos including sea urchin and seared foie gras. Our driver Javier was a great driver….fast and a very smooth ride.

We had a wonderful day to the Rioja wineries with Adur. Not only was he knowledgeable about the history and culture of the region, but he added to our experience by personalizing the day for us according to our interests, answering our endless questions. The tour was engaging to this beautiful region, made all the more special because of Adur. Not to mention the lovely lunch (and cheesecake) in La Guardia. We bumped into Adur again in San Sebastián when he was leading another tour. We were at a restaurant that he had recommended to us! Such a special day with beautiful memories and very special guide. Highly recommended.

He is a local who attended the British school from age 6 to 18 so his English was even better than ours. He is so well suited for this work and in the small group format it will be easy to follow through the main squares and streets of San Sebastian and learned so very much. We were picked up at the port while on a cruise with two days in BILBAL no pick up when seamlessly as did the drop off. It was about a one hour 15 minute ride to San Sebastian. We walk through town from 11 until one also along the beach promenade. We had reservations at 1 PM for PINXTOS at the first bar/pub and were served too hot items and a choice of drink. We then a tour the interesting side street some more and had reservations at a second colorful pub where we had another hot PINXTOS as well as a dessert item that was delicious and of course more wine or beer. We then left and drove over the back roads on the mountains to the second small town which was really really beautiful and I imagine it would be a lovely place to stay. We did an ice cream stop there before arriving back at the port at about 6 PM. We 100% recommend this tour to you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our small group tour of the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao with Beatriz. She was exceptionally knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about both the museum’s architecture and its collection of contemporary art. The small group format made the experience much more personal and interactive. We had plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and Beatriz provided fascinating insights that we would have missed on a self-guided visit. The explanations of the building’s design, history, and the significance of the various exhibits greatly enhanced our appreciation of the museum. The tour was well-paced, informative, and enjoyable from start to finish. We left with a much deeper understanding of both the art and the architectural masterpiece that is the Guggenheim. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bilbao—it was one of the highlights of our trip.

Our friendly guide took us on an interesting tour that was interspersed with her personal reflections. She was well spoken, patient, and at the end of the tour, took the time to walk us to where we needed to go. This was our 4th Viatour in Spain this month. All good.

This was such a wonderful tour. We had never done a tour excursion before and this was our first time in Bilbao. It was so worth it. Wallace was an incredible and very knowledgeable guide and Josu was an excellent tour bus driver. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

The best food tour we’ve ever been on! As we visited in early March during the off-season, we were lucky enough to end up on an unplanned private pintxos tour. Kara was an incredible guide - so knowledgeable not only about the food and drinks we were trying, but also about the Basque Country, its rich history, culture, and language. She thoughtfully took our dietary preferences into account when ordering the pintxos, choosing dishes that suited both of us perfectly while still encouraging us to try exciting new things. Every stop felt carefully chosen, and the experience felt incredibly personal. We learned so much throughout the tour, from the traditions behind pintxos to the stories of the old town and the Basque culture. It truly was such a special and personalised experience. It was a pleasure to meet Kara, and we’re so grateful for such a wonderful evening that we’ll never forget. This tour genuinely made our holiday!
