Meals are not included in the base price; guests simply pay for their food directly at the restaurants they visit.
We are happy to accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions, including vegetarian, vegan, and allergy-sensitive options, while keeping the dining experience authentically Japanese.

Not Everything We Bargained For

Through NO FAULT of our tour guide, Yuki, who was very nice, patient and informative, this tour was falsely advertised. We were not able to see all of the tourist spots listed, most importantly, Imperial Palace and the tour did NOT return to the initial meeting point as listed in the description. Having limited time in Tokyo, not seeing the Imperial Palace was a HUGE disappointment, especially when traveling with people who are heavily into history. Having a guide not return us to the initial meeting point also caused quite a bit of stress as the station that we were left at, Shibuya, is exceptionally busy. Thankfully, Yuki was kind enough to show us the way and share with us exactly how to get back to where we initially met which was near 40 minutes away by rail. What we did get to see and experience though, was fantastic. Yuki listened to our interests, took into account our likes and dislikes, and provided us an experience that we will not soon forget. Being English speakers and knowing the bare minimum Japanese, Yuki was easy understand, very personable, and had a great sense of humor. Yuki made our excursion worth it.

As this is a fully customized tour, we send all guests a pre-tour questionnaire after booking to learn about their interests and preferred itinerary. Unfortunately, we did not receive a response to the questionnaire or to our follow-up messages before the tour date. As a result, the itinerary was finalized based on the preferences discussed with your guide on the day of the tour. That said, we appreciate your comments regarding the tour description and meeting/end locations. Feedback such as yours helps us improve how we communicate tour details to future guests.
