Know where to meet. Vague details about meeting place. We had a private tour booked and couldn’t find tour guide. Unacceptable.

Viator gave lousy instructions prior to the tour.
My group of 4 people ran around like crazy trying to find a pre ticket meeting place so we can then meet up with our tour guide. News alert Viator, there is no place and your directions were miserable as well.
If I had not booked my second excursion with you, going for a dinner cruise, which also was a tuff place to find, I would not be booking any excursions in the future.
Obviously, you people have work to do in order to regain my trust.

Our guide Stephanie was knowledgeable and funny. She did hit the highlights in about 2 hours. Of course there is so very much more to see! It was very enjoyable for 2 people from the NYC area.

We had the best experience with Vincent!! So incredibly knowledgeable about art. He has a masters in art history and you could definitely tell he was passionate about it. I would highly recommend this tour especially since it’s a private tour. There is no better way to experience The Louvre!!

Our guide showed us “her” favorites. No direct access to the Mona Lisa. Her narration was good but I feel we could official e this on our own.

Be prepared for huge crowds everywhere you go in the Louvre. It took us 45 minutes to get in to the museum and through security. I cannot image what it would be like to visit in July. 9 million visitors a year

Our paid for, planned trip didn’t happen because Viator didn’t update the app or subsequent emails of a time change of one hour earlier .
Don’t book this with Viator you run this risk

I was a little hesitant about the price versus the price of entry. I shouldn’t have worried. Our guide was a fantastic resource for first time visitors. Violette was extraordinary—an endless source of stories and an impressively well-educated art historian. I’ve done the standard Louvre highlights tour before, yet she made it feel entirely new, as though I were seeing and understanding the art for the first time. This could be personal bias because I generally don't do tours of museums (I booked this one because the Louvre had sold out tickets from the general website), but I found the whole thing a bit rushed. There was a lot of emphasis on the history of the Louvre building itself, which was cool, but my kid and I would have liked to have had more time with the art. The guide was very nice and knowledgeable, but there was a sense of trying to tick boxes of specific things to see, rather than taking a beat to appreciate the art itself. I'd recommend this to people who want a quick, easy, "in-and-out" way to see the Louvre, but probably less so to people wanting to engage with art.
