Start your trip from the city’s riverfront in either the morning or afternoon. Then cast off for your river ride, journeying 22 miles (35 kilometers) along the river near Montreal. During your cruise, pass famous city sights including the islands of Boucherville, Jacques-Cartier Bridge, the Biosphere, the Olympic Park, and the city’s picturesque shoreline.
Make sure to also take advantage of all that your ship, the AML Cavalier Maxim, has to offer during your voyage. Enjoy some sunbathing on the ship’s al fresco terraces, or step inside if you need to warm up in the glass-enclosed dining area. An array of food and drinks is available for purchase at the on-board café.
At the end of your ride, return to the pier, having gained a new perspective on the city of Montreal.

A nice leisurely excursion. Not to long, but a good way to spend an hour and a half if you enjoy being on a boat.
Dress warm (in October)! Guide was an animated narrator with friendly and courteous crew.
Comfortable inside/outside seating (although quite windy outside).
Great views of the Port of Mtl. city, Nuns Island, and Jaques Cartier bridge.
Overall very pleasant experience.
Ps, be prepared to walk quite a ways to arrive at the embarkation pier.

Montreal History Guided Sightseeing Cruise was fine, but nothing particularly special. You mostly get standard city views, and that’s about it. The staff were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. The boat took around 20 minutes just to leave the pier and make its first turn, so the ride ended up being about 30 minutes in one direction and 35 minutes coming back. Overall, an okay experience but not very memorable.

This was sold to us as a guided history cruise, which was the only reason we booked. Zero was said at all while on the cruise. The staff were great but this was not what we paid for. We wanted to learn about the area and again there was zero information spoken throughout the cruise. Will not be doing anything like this again.

I Neva got on the cruise I got there 10min before cruise and was turned away. I would like a refund pls.

Get there early! We showed up a half hour early and we got a decent seat but to get the best outdoor upper level seats you need to get there closer to 45 minutes early. We were competing with cruise ship
Travelers which probably was a contributing factor.

The commentary was poor. Insufficient historical info. Too shouty.
Terrible singing.
Very poor table service. slow and wrong drinks provided.

It costs about $50Cnd per person. A bus tour was on the same tour. All of the good seats (on the right side of the boat) were reserved for them. We had to sit on the left so did not have very good views. The commentary was very loud and the quick switch from French to English on every sentence made it hard to follow. The option of French or English when buying the tickets implied the commentary would only be in one or the other.

Went for a 4pm happy hour tour on Friday Sept 11 and the tour was to include local beer,wine or cocktail. Was disappointed in the local beer being coors light. Asked if I could pay for an upgrade and was told it was the only option. Coors lite being called a local beer is a bit of a stretch. Very disappointed

There weren't that many exciting sights to see, but the ride was relaxing and the commentary was excellent!

This cruise was a big disappointment. First off, arriving at the port to pick up vouchers was a frustrating experience. Despite Viator’s numerous emails alerting us to the upcoming tour, the cruise staff showed no record of us. The staff took 20 min inputting us into their system. Frustrating and annoying
The tour itself was a major disappointment as it essentially sails back and forth through an extremely boring and unattractive stretch of water. The narration was also long, loud and boring. For $100, the cruise should be so much better. I don’t recommend this tour.

It was not a guided tour and was very disappointing. We were misled by the title of the tour. I am really concerned whether we are being told everything when we sign up on viator.

It is a nice boat with wonderful air conditioning and huge windows for an amazing view. There is plenty of outside seating too. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The only thing that could be better is the sound system. It was very hard to hear what was being said.

I wanted to stay on the upper deck because the sun was too bright but the crew told us if we wanted the guided tour we need to sit on the lower deck in the sun the whole time which I don’t want to. Overall the cruise was nice and the ride was smooth and can see a lot of different sights.

Great little cruise around harbor. The harbor itself is not very picturesque but the narrative about the history of it was interesting. Drinks were very good and food others seemed to enjoy! Staff very nice and attentive.

This was a fun way to see the city skyline and relax. If you want to hear the tour guide you really need to be outside down in the front. We were inside and there were too many people talking to hear anything clearly. The sound system could use an upgrade. Overall, if you are just looking for a fun relaxing boat ride, it fits the bill.

This is a ride along the St. Laurence River in a pretty big touring boat. We did the narrated tour, so we sat in the open front bow in order to hear. The tour guide spoke first in French then in English. He did a really nice job. We had great weather in Montreal, although this day was a overcast but still good temperature. It was nice to see the city from the River. He pointed out all the important sites that you would see while walking around. It was $35 USD each and that got you the ride plus a glass of wine or a beer. They have other bar and snack items for purchase.

My wife and I had an amazing happy hour experience. The drinks a food are pricey but I was expecting that going into it. The staff were nice. It was very clean, and we’ll be back next year. Maybe sooner!

There is actually NO history being told in this tour. No guide. No narrator. However, it was an overall relaxing and enjoyable experience. Very friendly staff.
