Interesting but not exactly scary. Felt a bit limited in "content". Overall, it was a decent value. Expected more.
Dr. Knox was great, thanks for a fun tour.
Edinburgh was so fascinating and the tour made it even better, very scary! :)
Our guide was great and a dramatically engaging storyteller. The script should clarify what is historically accurate or what is legend. Either way is fine, just clarify to audience upfront.
Underground Ghost Tour with David in Edinburgh - his language was filled with “F” bombs and gross comments. We left the tour after 15 minutes. Disgusting.
This experience with the tour guide Fred was really enjoyable. He honestly made the whole tour had us laughing the hole time would highly recommend this tour with Fred!
Agnes was great. We had a big group and she took the time to speak to everyone and find out where they were from. She was engaging and informative. She seemed honestly interested in the history she was telling us and I think that makes a big difference. She wasn’t just reading a script, but wanted the stories to matter. Excellent job!
Our guide spoke so fast and most of us couldn’t understand her and what she was saying about the tour- she seemed scattered and most of the group stood looking at each other confused. It was mainly walking the strret at night and an underground cavern that had paranormal activity in the past.
The tour was a fun way to learn about the darker side of Edinburgh. John was our guide and he was amazing!
Jordan was our guide, very charismatic and fun! He had a lot of knowledge on the legends and the lore of the vaults we visited. Great tour!
Lafayette was amazing! Very highly recommend. A perfect spooky and informative and VERY entertaining evening. Five stars!
Very interesting. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and made it fun and very worth our time. We had a large group and she kept us moving and safe.
Cassandra Bean is the bees knees!!! So fun and lovely. We learned so much on the tour and it was proper spooky. Highly recommended!!!
David Rizzo was a fantastic guide fun, informative - an absolute treat! Right length, right information - right amount of fun and spooky.
We expected most of the time to be the underground tour but it was more time outside walking around the city hearing ghost stories. If you like dramatic, over the top theatrical type guides you will enjoy this. Definitely not our favorite tour.
John Kincaid did an excellent job providing an excellent and informative tour. I especially enjoyed the underground and cemetery parts of the tour.
Our guide gave some interesting history about the underground tunnels and life in the Middle Ages in Edinburgh. I think it would be better without the props and theatrics in the underground. It cheapened the whole experience. I didn't not like that the guide recruited a random boy to spit on the heart on the sidewalk. That was gross and did not add to the story.
I think this has the makings for a really good tour without all the hokey stuff and less theatrics.
Fun mix of history, spooky stops and funny tour guide to make sure you’re enjoying your tour. Recommend for ages 10-101.
We really enjoyed our tour guide but there wasn’t much “ghost” tour. We started with a history tour and letting us know where some prominent figures are buried. We spent about 10-15 minutes in the cemetery. Then went on to the underground. Overall, we got to see a few sights but there coudlve been more ghost stories or even stories about people that lived at the time. It was just an okay tour but I’ve been to better.
We had Mary Queen of Scots on Friday, September 18 for the 645 tour. She did an awesome job was very thorough, accommodating, and fun. She will come highly recommended by us and your tour.
Mary Queen of Scots was fantastic. Great storyteller - detailed and well spoken. Very good. Worth the money
James Douglas was an entertaining and informative guide. The content of the tour was what we were hoping for. It was a great part of experiencing Edinburgh.
Lafayette was an absolutely fantastic guide: engaging, funny, and a brilliant storyteller. He brought the history of Edinburgh’s underground to life with just the right mix of fascinating history, spooky stories, and humor. The atmosphere was incredible, and he made the whole experience feel both genuinely eerie and great fun.
Enjoyed the underground ghost tour. Felt safe being escorted around at night and it’s really close to the Royal Mile. Major Weir was a great guide with some good stories. The tombs were really interesting, and I liked finishing near Greyfriars Bobby after the graveyard, got to see the Bobby statue without all the crowds during the day. Plenty of places nearby for a drink afterwards too. Definitely worth doing at least once.
This is more of an entertaining and fun tour than a spooky or scary one.
James was very entertaining and funny.
We also got to see some spots in Edinburgh we would never have discovered .
Nice enough guide. It was interesting, but not delivered with the storytelling quality of other tours.
intriguing tour of some of the unseemly underground of historic Edunburgh! interesting stories imparted by our tour guide. The underground rooms we toured were did give a ghastly as well as claustrophobic vibes! Our guide , portraying John Knox, gave an authentic portrayal of a learned professor from some 500 plus years ago.
One criticism of this tour was that the tour group size was too large, making it awkward to get all patrons into and out of the tight quarters in the underground vaults. a group half that size would be ideal.
Great tour! Our tour leader - Major Wier - was very good. Interesting details and opportunity to see underground chambers. Great stories about the city.
It was a very fun tour. Lots of interesting stories and our guide, James Douglas (who strangely reminded me of Gerard Butter), kept us entertained throughout. He singled me out often; called me a witch, had me stomp on someone's grave, and made me the safety officer so I had to go into the underground rooms first, but it was all in good fun. I definitely recommend this tour.
Hilarious and scary! So entertaining and informative. Brisk pace and funny, great group of people as well
This tour is wonderful. The guide was great and the information was spot on. I would not recommend it for anyone that has mobility issues. It requires walking uphill and climbing stairs.
