Absolute must do
Absolute must do. If you book through Viator, be aware that it is either the glacier climbing course or the hike, which isn't obvious. I asked to do the climbing course last minute and they very easily accommodated. Josh, our instructor was very knowledgeable and made us feel very safe. We stopped on the way from Reykjavik to a of waterfall site which was lovely and then were dropped at the alpine camp. There we got equipped for the climb, then walked four about 50min to the glacier and stayed there for 4-5 hours before coming back. We practiced on a few walls before doing a deeper one (15m) which felt very scary for me (not for others!) and Josh was very reassuring and pro. Had the best time and couldn't recommend more!

The most unexpected highlight of our trip
Amazing experience, we only did this because our kids were hungry and we had a discount, anf it became a highlight of the trip. Luis, our Lava Master, was genuinely interested in Lava and Volcanoes, he was fun, charming and engaging. Not to mention my kids face when the real Lava appeared at 1100C!
A+! 10/10!

The best experience
It has been an unforgettable experience
I have to say that Cora, our driver and guide, has been the best experience of all, without taking merit away from everything we have seen and lived, she has treated us as if we were her family, an incredibly adorable woman, a familiar and charming treatment.
With guides like her, it makes you want to never stop traveling through these wonderful lands, we will definitely return to Tröll, an unforgettable experience.

Cold ice, warm soul
The highlight of my Iceland trip was this experience. Gabriel was passionate, knowledgeable and patient. He really made the tour feel special. The glacier, caves and entire landscape was mind bending beauty at every turn. Cold ice but left with a warm soul.

A Definite Must Do Tour!
This was our dream excursion! It did not disappoint. Francesco was our guide and absolutely fantastic with his knowledge, preparedness, and directions. He expertly guided us & was extremely intentional in our safety, so we felt extremely safe. Also, I would like to add we also enjoyed his humor. Plus he is a great photographer and took some of our favorite pics on this excursion (thank you!). My husband and I felt like he prepared us well for the hike and we took breaks, which helped. The hike was beautiful, but the glacier, there are no words. Absolutely beautiful and otherworldly. The hike is moderate endurance and includes going up the path made and down as well. Francesco though always checked in with the group and helped those who needed it. I would highly recommend this tour with Francesco! We will never forget it!

Gorgeous Ice cave
An Unforgettable Experience in Beautiful Iceland! 🇮🇸💙
Our Katla Ice Cave and Super Jeep Tour was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland! Sylvester was an amazing guide. He was so knowledgeable about the glaciers and their history, and he made the whole experience fun and entertaining. You could tell he really loved what he does and enjoyed sharing Iceland’s natural beauty with us.
The ice caves were absolutely breathtaking! The beautiful blue ice was even more incredible in person, and it’s a sight I’ll never forget. We were also lucky enough to have sunny, beautiful Icelandic weather, which made the day even more special.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iceland. Thank you, Sylvester, for such a wonderful and memorable adventure! 💙❄️

Emotion and safety on a quad bike ride
I loved the quad bike tour through the black sands! We did the 1-hour tour and it was very rewarding, because at the chosen time (4:00 PM - 5:00 PM) there was no one else. Our guide, Jordy Vaesen, was excellent and made the experience even more special, he explained everything, answered questions, and kept us safe throughout the time, including during the river crossing, which was more swollen due to the rains.

Worth it!
This tour is incredible and is worth the money and the time. It’s very unique. You feel like you’ve gone into another world. It’s landscape like you won’t see again. Alex was a great tour guide. He answered all our questions and was a lot of fun. You could tell that he genuinely cares for the Icelandic landscape. The ride was comfortable and a fun experience riding in a car with huge tires.

Because we were worried...
Because we were worried about the weather, we decided to change to an earlier time at the last minute. Luckily, there were still some spots available, so they could accommodate the change. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the horses were incredibly gentle and well-behaved. They even lined up by themselves and followed one another along the trail. We were so happy to have the chance to try a little trot as well, and overall, we really enjoyed the whole experience!

Wonderful experience through the glacier and the cave
We loved the activity. In fact, I only expected the cave, and to our pleasant surprise, we went walking on the glacier. And the scenery was truly impressive; it looked like another planet.
Our guide was super friendly and pleasant at all times.
I would totally recommend it.

So many puffins!
Seeing so many puffins was the highlight of the tour, but all the other stops made the tour even better. It was the best way to travel around the island on a chilly, windy day. If you use the hop on / hop off bus, you won't get to hear all that Ebbi has to say. He is a fantastic tour guide.

Puffins and Puffins and more Puffins!
By far the best part of the tour was the stop at the puffin colony. Our guide, V, knew this was a priority for most of us so maximized the time we could spend there. Awesome experience to see the puffins up close.
The rest of the tour was great as well. We enjoyed the stops at the volcano and tales of how the town dealt with the lava flow. We also enjoyed the brief stop at the original settlement near the golf course. We saw a lot of the island.
Definitely recommend this tour and V was a great guide full of personality!
