Two beautiful cities 45 minutes north from Porto. The cathedrals, castles , walking zones were superb. Nuno, our guide was terrific! Personable, knowledgeable and happy to do his job! We booked a private city highlights tour with hotel pickup, and it was hands down one of the highlights of our entire trip. If you take this tour, do yourself a huge favor and request Joao! ​From the minute he arrived right on time at our hotel, Joao set the bar high. His van was spotless, modern, and exceptionally comfortable. Navigating Porto's steep hills and narrow streets can be tricky, but his driving was smooth, calm, and reassuring throughout the day. ​What impressed us most was Joao's incredible thoughtfulness and willingness to go the extra mile. We had someone in our group who was dealing with an injury, and Joao was endlessly patient and accommodating, ensuring drop-offs and pick-ups were as easy and accessible as possible so no one felt left behind or rushed. To top it off, he even took extra time out of the route to help my husband track down a specific watch store he had been hoping to find - a personal touch that truly went above and beyond any standard itinerary. ​On top of being professional, attentive, and knowledgeable, Joao is just wonderful company. He is courteous and genuinely funny. Since we speak Portuguese, the witty banter and laughs back and forth made the day fly by. It honestly felt less like a hired tour and more like spending an afternoon exploring the city with a great local friend. ​Joao made sightseeing completely effortless, stress-free, and memorable. Our journey to the Duoro Valley was wonderful! Ricardo was a charming guide and offered lots of information about the valley and even advice regarding the rest of our trip through Portugal. The Croft tour was really interesting the the vineyard was beautiful. We had an authentic lunch and whizzed to the top of the mountain to take in the panorama! We would highly recommend this tour!
