Merida to Kabah

Along the Puuc Route, Kabah and Uxmal reveal the height of Maya architectural sophistication. Their ceremonial centers, framed by intricate stonework and perfect proportions, preserve centuries of astronomy, ritual, and sacred knowledge. In Kabah, every carved mask speaks a symbolic language etched in stone, while Uxmal captivates with its serene grandeur and seamless harmony with the landscape. The journey concludes with a private Mayan hieroglyph painting workshop at Doña Patricia's house in a Mayan community. Through clay and symbols, you will uncover the stories and meanings once carried by these ancient visual narratives. Highlights: • Walk the ancient sacbé linking Kabah and Uxmal, a ceremonial road of the Maya world. • Create your own handcrafted piece using pre-Hispanic pottery and codex-painting techniques. • Enjoy authentic Pibil cuisine, traditionally cooked underground and served in a family-run local setting.
