Merida Food Tour: Local Markets, Street Food & Yucatecan Cuisine

Most visitors leave Mérida having seen the city. Our goal is for you to truly experience it. We go beyond the tourist trail to explore local markets, hidden food stalls, and familyrun businesses where generations of Yucatecans have shared their favorite dishes. You'll discover authentic regional flavors, learn about ancient Mayan culinary traditions, and gain a deeper understanding of Mérida's culture and daily life. What truly sets our tour apart is our guides. Born and raised in Yucatán, they're passionate local experts who love sharing their culture, history, and favorite foods with every guest. They don't just show you where to eat they introduce you to the people behind the food, share stories you won't find in guidebooks, and make you feel like you're exploring the city with a local friend. It's no surprise that our guides are consistently one of the highlights mentioned in our 5star reviews. This is more than a food tour, it's an authentic local experience, one bite at a time.
