What are people saying about Cordoba

Cordoba hits different
Today was one of those travel days that reminds you just how powerful it can be to stand in places where history actually happened.
🌉 We walked across the incredible Roman Bridge of Córdoba, imagining the countless people who have crossed it over the centuries.
👑 We visited the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, where Christopher Columbus met with King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella as he sought support for his voyage across the Atlantic. Standing in a place connected to a moment that would ultimately change the course of world history was pretty incredible.
🕌⛪ And then came the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba (Mezquita-Catedral). This one was different. Walking through its famous arches and seeing the layers of Islamic and Christian history woven together in one extraordinary place was deeply moving and surprisingly emotional. ❤️
There are places you visit because they’re beautiful…and then there are places you feel. Today, Córdoba was both.

Anna Made It Come Alive
Our tour guide for a small group was Anna. She was EXCELLENT. Knowledgeable, funny, concise, and easy to understand. Would recommend her without reservation and this smaller group size was perfect for this venue (Cordoba Mosque Cathedral) because it was much easier to hear with the echoes and other visitor groups. Very interesting and learning experience.

Fantastic tour in Cordoba!
This was a fantastic tour. It was organized, the headsets were great (had your own volume so you could adjust the sound). The guide was fantastic! Her English was great, and she was engaging and interesting. You spend an hour walking around the Jewish quarter - it was beautiful. Our guise kept us in the shade which was very helpful in 105 degree temps. We didn’t stay in any place too long, which was nice. It was informative and interesting. We had 15 minutes between the Jewish quarter (all outdoors) and before we entered the mosque/cathedral. We were able to grab a Starbucks iced coffee, use the restroom and sit for a bit. The guide went and picked up some additional tour guests and we went inside the mosque/cathedral. Women must cover their shoulders, men remove hats - as with most religious buildings in Spain. Men & boys could wear shorts and sandals were fine as well. The tour inside was lovely and then time at the end to explore on our own. This was one of the most organized and best led tours we have had. I cannot remember the guides name - but she was wonderful - knowledgeable, friendly and kind. She wore a Taylor Swift Eras T-shirt, which my teen girls loved. Really top notch tour.

Fantastic way to start the trip
A brilliant way to learn about the town. If you don’t know where to start exploring the history of Cordoba then this tour is a must. There are so many things that we would never have known about if all we had done was read a guidebook. Lolo was a brilliant guide, had answers for all our questions and was obviously full of pride in his historic city. Highly recommend.

Good option to see traditional Flamingo while in Cordoba
It was an excellent show. For Americans though it would be helpful to have the introductory remarks before each section of the show given in English. Only Spanish was used. Dancers and Guitarist were all amazing. The singer may have been as well but since I do. It understand Spanish and what she was singing to avcompany the dancers I am not sure.

Wonderful experience
Wonderful guide, Saray made this a fantastic experience with her depth of archaeological knowledge and evident passion for her work. While the Christian Alcazar is not available, Saray made the Muslim Alcazar bath house come alive with her intricate knowledge.
The timing of the stops was also very much appreciated.

Excellent tour of Cordoba old quarter and mosque-cathedral
Excellent tour with an extremely knowledgeable local guide, especially in the mosque-cathedral itself. His English was perfect and he was well paced and accommodating of our preferences. I didn't realise the synagogue is free to visit anyway (and very modest!) and to be honest the roman baths are a little underwhelming.

Beyond expectations-Cordoba Cathedral and Mosque tour
Our guide, Inma, is passionate about Cordoba and her Andalusian heritage. So much so, that she is a PhD student at the University of Cordoba. She has impressive English speaking. It is fun to listen to her explain and interpret the architecture and cultural practices that we experienced. The Cathedral and Mosque have a HUGE visual “wow factor”. But, being guided by such a knowledgeable woman made it much more pleasant and interesting.

Wonderful Tour of Córdoba
We had a fantastic time on the Best of Córdoba Guided Tour. Our guide was truly excellent—knowledgeable, engaging, and able to share the city’s history in a way that felt both accessible and memorable. The pacing of the tour was spot-on: enough depth to really appreciate each stop without ever feeling rushed.
We walked away with a much better understanding of Córdoba’s cultural layers and architectural beauty. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a well-organized, informative, and enjoyable experience.

What a difference a Viator guide can make
My husband and I visited the Mosque-Cathedral in Cordoba a number of years ago. What a difference having a guide to this extraordinary place made. As with all the other Viator guides we have had, our guide was very knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the building itself and even more about its history over the years. He was very open to answering questions. It was a wonderful experience.

Amazing gem in Santiponce!
The place is ideal for you and your furry friend. Besides, Santiponce is full of Roman and Spanish historical spaces that are underrated. They are astounding but not overcrowded! Besides, if you are visiting Sevilla (Seville), this place is really close!

Don’t miss out on this - strongly recommended
This is a must-do experience to appreciate Spanish history and be amazed at the sight of a full sized Christian cathedral inside a mosque, many times extended over the centuries. It is being wonderfully restored (2025) so more to see over time. A guided tour is strongly recommended.
