Wonderful walking tour for the whole family!
The tour was wonderful and exaxtly what we were looking for with a froup ranging in age from six to seventy! A very large thank-you to Imran for his excellent guiding abilities and his patience with our very active six-year old! He was exactly the tour guide we wanted and needed. We learned so much about the people, history and culture. He worked with our pace and let us stop as needed. It was a great experience and we fully recommend it to everyone. Also, ask for Imran- you wont be disappointed!

Just book it!
Just do it! This was one of the best day trips we have ever done! We went with captain barnaba tours and the crew were absolutely fantastic. We saw so many dolphins and got to swim with them ethically. The crew didn’t chase the dolphins, instead they stopped the boat ahead of the path the dolphins were swimming which made the experience that much more enjoyable. The crystal waters were something of paradise and we had never seen this many fish during snorkelling. Don’t even think about it just book it!!!

All encompassing tour
Led by an experienced guide, with a separate driver for ease in stone town, we travelled from my hotel in the far north east to the three stops.
The spice farm was rustic, with a walk through the grounds picking out the plants growing for their aromatics.
Stone town, in its chaos, is beautiful, but many of the attractions are undergoing renovation. However, walking through the city gives a great flavour of the islands culture and history.
Prison island, other than being a small zoo for a few animals, doesn’t very well showcase its own history, but the guide explained the complex changing of hands the island has experienced.
It’s rare I’d commend a driver in Zanzibar, but we had a safe (and courteous) driver who kept us safe when the skies opened up.
Fantastic day.

I'll start with that I rarely give 5 stars, normally I give 4 stars as a max so that should be an indicator as to how much I liked this. My guide was Nassor. He did a fantastic job. He had deep knowledge of the area and knew the history like a true expert. I felt safe with him both as a person and that he was keeping me safe (from traffic and motorcycles more than anything). At the end he even asked for feedback so he could improve which shows that he trying to get better even though he's already so good and has been at it for years which I feel is a sign of good character. I also had a walking tour combined with another tour I did but this one was much better. If you are looking for a walking tour, this is one of the best options out there in my opinion.

We had an absolutely amazing time from start to finish. We were lucky enough to see dolphins on the way to the island, which made the trip even more special.
The captains were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and accommodating — they really made us feel comfortable and looked after throughout the journey. The boat itself was very comfy and perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views.
The food was delicious, honestly some of the best we’ve had since being in Zanzibar. And the island… absolute paradise. Breathtaking and unforgettable.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience — we couldn’t recommend this trip more!

My ATV adventure
The experience was awesome. They were punctual with pick up and the start of the excursion. Rules and procedures were explained and they ensured your comfortably . We were able to vidit two beautiful beaches and was given an opportunity to meet with local villagers and learn about their culture. The highlight of the tour was the fresh coconut water and pineapple. Would definitely recommend!!!

A great day out very...
My guide for the day was a very nice young man called Abdull Majid. A great day out very informative about the history off zanzibar visiting a beautiful beach, stone town and prison island. Being a solo traveller was always asking if everything was ok. I would definitely recommend this trip.

Authenticate Zanzibar - Don’t Hesitate
Just amazing. So sweet, welcoming and 100% authenticate. Oh and the food was better than any restaurant food you can get. Cooked with love and kindness.
We took our 13 year old son and 17 year old daughter. Both loved it and would definitely do it again.

Lovely Tour
James was the best! Great driver and was very willing to accommodate me as to time spent at each location. Jozani National Park was probably my favorite as we got to see many of the Red Colobus Monkey. The Kuza Cave was wonderful! Very nice to swim since it was so hot outside. The beaches were also lovely. I appreciated how James spent just the right amount of time at each place.

Friendly Driver
Great and friendly driver. Pick up right on time and provided cold water as we got our pick up. Picked us up at hotel 4am on our return and was on time again even thou it was very early in the AM. Use this service if you need to get around Zanzibar!! Highly recommended!

Book It! Its Like A Buffet of Zanzibar!
This was truly an amazing experience — the perfect way to start my vacation in Zanzibar! I was able to see and do so much in just one day. It genuinely felt like getting a full “taste” of Zanzibar: activities, culture, key landmarks, and an authentic local feel all wrapped into one unforgettable excursion.
My tour guide was one of the most communicative and attentive people I’ve ever worked with. He checked in the day before to confirm everything, reached out again the morning of, and kept me updated the entire time. As a solo traveler in a foreign country, that level of communication and reassurance meant everything.
The day flowed beautifully. We started with visiting the turtles while he shared incredible history during the drive. I even got to play with a little monkey and take some amazing photos. Then we headed to the beach, where I met a local woman who made the most creative coconut crafts — such a special touch. After a delicious late lunch, we explored a serene cave where I was able to relax, recharge, and truly feel the healing energy of the space. We wrapped up the evening with a vibrant beach party that felt like the perfect finale.
This tour gave me adventure, culture, relaxation, nature, and nightlife all in one. I can’t wait to do it again. If you’re considering it… book it!

While Tanzania’s sweeping Serengeti plains and towering Mount Kilimanjaro get a lot of attention, you don’t want to miss the country’s tropical islands. Zanzibar tours acquaint you with the multicultural influences and intricate carved doors of Stone Town, the main island’s old trading hub that’s still full of antique shops and bazaars. The archipelago’s smaller islands are ideal for snorkeling among dolphins and spotting giant Aldabra tortoises, while the countryside is home to spice farms and indigenous Swahili culture. If you’re up for a short flight, many Zanzibar tours go to mainland Tanzania for safaris.
