Amazing!

Highly recommend getting up early for this. The views were amazing. Not too many people early in the morning so you can get good pictures and videos. My guide was great and spoke good English. My driver was amazing for being very young and new to the tourism industry. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. It does get really hot as the day goes on so a sun hat, umbrella and sunscreen are recommended.

Bima is the best

I booked a last minute trip and was assigned Bima as my tour guide. During each excursion Bima ensured I was safe and was able to fully immerse myself in the experience. If I return to Java in the future I will definitely request any excursion he is a part of.

Incredible day!

Bima was the absolute best! Picked me up early at my out-of-the-way hotel in Solo, great conversation in very good English that made the ride feel short, made sure I had everything I needed for my temple visits, including water and an umbrella. Told me the story of Rama and Sita with the Prambanan murals so I would understand the Ramayana ballet. Even climbed a tree (against my objections) to pick rambutans for me because I had said I liked them. This was an amazing day that I will remember for the rest of my life. Thank you, Bima!

Wonderful Experience

It's wonderful. The tour operator communicated with via WhatsApp before I even embarked on my journey. My driver/tour guide, Utama picked me up promptly at my hotel. He was friendly and we had a nice conversation along the way. At my request, he made two extra stops. Im truly enjoy this tour.

Excellent guide, weather is unpredictable

My guide Atok was outstanding! He made the day go smoothly even though the weather did not. He made sure I had ample time for naps in between sites given our 3am departure. There were clouds at Borobudur so not much sunrise visible, but still a great option to get moody atmospheric photos in the twilight and to climb when it is not yet hot. Great breakfast and leisurely time. Mt Merapi was also hidden by clouds but we saw the local sites. Kind of a weird place - a solemn museum and then an amusement park and people taking cheeky photos at a place where people died in the eruption. At Prambanan, Atok guided me around the main temple and took several great photos and videos. The sun was finally out and the rocks are so hot it feels like a furnace. He let me explore on my own after that and the eventual rain was a relief. Don’t miss Sewu at the far end of the complex - it is very cool. Word of caution - if you don’t catch the shuttle at the start they won’t let you ride it on the way back. Just be prepared because the walk back definitely feels longer. Got back to the hotel around 3pm. Very long day but well worth it!

We went to the rice terraces, hidden waterfall and temple and Thomas was very useful and very entertaining! He gave us insights into the history of the temple and also proved a great camera man for photos at the waterfall! It was a great experince and one I would definitely recommend.

Wonderful experience!

We were in doubt about which tour to choose from the many different options. After browsing and reviewing several of them, we decided to book it with Rian from Songdjie tours and it completely lived up to every expectation. Rian put in a 110% to make this day an unforgettable experience. Throughout the day he showed us amazing views, made some extra stops to show us everything the area had to offer.
