This light show is performed on the River Li by 600 actors and actresses, river is the perfomance stage, karst mountains are the backgroup of the light which makes the whole show spetacular, the actors are farmers daytime, in the evening they are in the show to us how the local life was like and is like here in the villages, the actresses are from the minority of Dong, who also show us their life in the remote area，so among these players, there is no celebrities. The major theme of the show is to reflect local life and chinese culture. The director is the one who operated the Olympic openning ceremonies in Beijing in 2008.

Longsheng County is within the Guilin area (prefecture), Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Its main attraction is the Longji rice terraces ( Longji Titian), called Dragon Backbones by the locals. Also of interest are the hot springs and the small mountain villages among the wooded areas of trees and bamboos. Longji Terraced Field is located about 100km northeast of the downtown Guilin, about 2 hours' drive from Guilin. The rice terraces are built into the hillsides.
