Knowledgeable Guide Armela

I had this tour yesterday (20 Oct) and the guide is Armela who is very knowledgeable. She is very pleasant and willing to help always to make sure everyone is ok. At the Albania-Kosovo border, we remained in our car and she collected our passports for the officer. The process is smooth and quick. We chose to have our passports stamped although it's unnecessary. Time management is quite good too, without long break in the middle of the ride - only 15 mins for toilet or some snacks. It's already a long 14.5-hr day tour (6am to 8:30pm) and everyone wanted to reach the scenic spots or finally return to hotel earlier. 3 hrs spent in Prizren, 2 hrs in Pristina, a very well balanced and time allocation. I particularly like the free time given to us. I could be on my own once getting off basically and enjoy my time to explore around. The vehicle is not a bus, so spent less time for pickup and dropoff. But it's full and the guide was so generous (sacrificing) to sit on the floor next to the door herself so that a customer could take her seat in the front. Connectivity is very poor in Kosovo and the tour operator has kindly arranged free WiFi at the cities for us for communication and places / restaurants recommendations/ pickup location. Still spotty connection though. This tour is highly recommended. To me, Kosovo was a mysterious place and I was glad that I have been there by now.

Super day in Berat!

Our guide Ervin was excellent , explaining but not talking for too long and the driver speedy but safe. Berat was a super place to visit and views from Castle superb. I would have preferred to have missed out the Lake and have had extra time on the Castle but obviously I understand the logistics. Overall an excellent day.

Definitely Worth Doing!

This was a great tour! Our guide, Toni, was really informative and entertaining. Bovilla Lake and the canyon were both beautiful. It was nice to have 1 1/2 hours on the mountain to enjoy the views and have lunch. I would NOT want to drive up there on my own. The roads are dirt, full of potholes, narrow and winding. Our driver did an amazing job navigating these treacherous roads. The entire trip took about 6 hours, and it was definitely worth it.

Really enjoyed this activity getting outside of Tirana and through some very rugged terrain for some amazing views. The weather was perfect for the day and I had a small group. Colin was a great guide, navigating the less than ideal road conditions into and up Gamti. The hike from there to the view point was truly enjoyable and slightly challenging, well worth it in the end. From there, exploring the castle & Kruje added a good bit of history, more views, and an opportunity for strolling the bazaar and some local food.

Being able to make a day trip to another country from Tiranë was great. North Macedonia is beautiful. Our guides (Nolan from Tiranë and Martina in Ohrid) were both great. They explained historical facts about the areas we visited and made sure everyone had a good time.

Overall, a good experience with Viator. The trip could have included a little more explanation about the places we visited. The main issue was the pickup arrangement. It would be better to have only a few fixed pickup points and avoid changing the location after confirmation, as this created confusion for guests and extra difficulty for the guide. Dail managed everything very well and was helpful throughout. Overall, a good trip with some room for improvement in coordination.

Albanian Dance show and meal

You have not been to Albania unless you have experienced this show. We were dressed up in costume, and took our seats for not just a dance show but a story with the audience participating in the dancing. We opted for the meal after the show - traditional Albanian food - really delishious. Please let them know of any dietary requirements or allergies and they will work up an alternative. Truly one of the best shows I have been to in a long time - well worth a visit.
