On this tour you will explore some historic fishing ports and sandy beaches along the craggy coastline of Fife’s East Neuk. First stop is Anstruther, a busy seaside village famous for its award -winning fish and chips which taste even better eaten in the fresh air overlooking the lovely harbour. Next stop: Crail, a charming fishing village with plenty of buildings of historical interest, including the Tollbooth with its tower dating from about 1600. Get ready to take some pictures of the UK´s most photographed harbour. Finally, we head to St Andrews, known for its historic university, medieval streets and gorgeous traditional buildings. Whilst there, we will walk around the Cathedral of St Andrew, a ruined cathedral built in 1158 which became the centre of the Medieval Catholic Church. If you don't like golf, don't worry - St Andrews is also home to some fabulous history and architecture. On our way north, we'll first of all stop in the village of Culross. In our opinion, this is the prettiest village in Scotland, and famous nowadays as being a filming location of the television series Outlander. We’ll take you on a brief walk around the village, pointing out filming locations and telling you about the real world history of the place too. When we get to St Andrews, you'll have at least 3 hours in the town to explore it however you want. We’re happy to take you on a walking tour of the town, and take you inside the ruins of St Andrews Castle (for an additional cost). Or, you can visit the golf course, golf museum, the famous university campus or an aquarium. It's your tour.
