What are people saying about Santo Domingo

Best excursion ever !!
For me, I loved it. It was a long day trip but full of entertainment that last for a long time. There was dancing entertainment and most of us danced. There was unlimited drinks and we stoped to swim in the natural pool. The food was great with unlimited drinks and pictures as well. I throughly enjoyed myself. The only thing to be mindful of is that after the first stop everyone is wet so the floor is slippery. You need to be very careful that you don’t slip and fall on the boat. So if you are an older adult or if you are caring for older adults, please be very very very careful so they don’t fall!

Beautiful sights
Great experience. My driver was exceptional and really informative.
The cave of wonders was beautiful - so magical.
Romona - only lunch but a nice setting over looking the river. Quite basic but did the trick.
Chavon - a lovely setting up in the hills, the old stone buildings and amphitheatre were great to see.
Marina - my driver did not know this was included so do not expect this on your trip as I did. However, he was super kind and took me anyway and we saw the lovely beach and the boats of the marina - and I treated him to some ice cream which we enjoyed whilst taking in the view.

Great tour.
This felt like a private tour as my party of four were the only participants. Leopoldo, our guide, was very knowledgeable of the history of both the cenotes (Los tres ojos) as well as the Columbus Lighthouse. He did all the explaining in English for the convenience of my son in law that speaks only English. The transportation was a little awkward, almost felt like they use Uber for transportation, but we really didn't mind and overall enjoyed the tour very much.

Cool coffee, a lot of history y local cerveza en Zona Colonial - Something for everyone!
The walking tour with Juan Pablo (sin numero - the name he introduced himself as!), was FANTASTIC! He shared the history of the country as we hit the highlights of Zona Colonial. Pablo was patient in explaining everything to us in slow Spanish (and clarified anything we needed in English!)! He took great care of us from the beginning with a coffee at Cafe Barista to a beer at the end! Pablo is friendly, FUNNY and a fantastic guide - you’ll have a great time with him!

10/10 Would Do Again
We had an amazing time on our tour to El Tabernáculo out of Santo Domingo. The experience was incredibly fun and well organized from start to finish. Our guide, Ronnie, was absolutely fantastic—helpful, funny, and really informative without ever making it feel like a lecture. He made everyone feel comfortable and kept the energy up the whole time. My wife and I both had a great time and would highly recommend this tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Ronnie as your guide!

Excellent Service
Excellent service, when I arrived I was kind of nervous because I don’t speak Spanish, Mr Abreu texted me to let me know the driver was there waiting for me, when I got to the hotel, the driver went in there with me to help me which was beyond my expectation. The car was clean and nice and I had a positive experience. Highly Recommended!

Great private transfer....
Great private transfer. Booked with this company for an round trip Santo Domingo airport (SDQ) to Punta Cana Resort. Felt very safe the entire time. Both drivers were excellent and the vans were very clean and AC was blowing great. Julio was very responsive to messaging and drivers were on time. Highly recommend.

Rum Sun & Saona
It’s amazing ! The driver reached out the night before to tell me what time they would be arriving to pick me up at the Airbnb. They were prompt and friendly. They took us to the beach where we met the captain and they gave us a green colored string to wear which I loved so you know who is with who . We then boarded a smaller boat to get onto a catamaran. On the catamaran we were given rum and coke and there was music and dancing. We arrived at a first island where we got off to swim
And enjoy for a bit - we saw a leatherback turtle
While here which was an absolutely amazing experience.. We then went on to Saona - we got smaller boats to take us on land - there again we had free drinks and a delicious lunch prepared for us. Saona island was absolutely beautiful and we spent the entire afternoon swimming and drinking. We got onto smaller speed boats to return to
The mainland and again more rum and coke lol . On getting back to shore the driver was waiting for
Us. An amazing experience overall and I would highly recommend.

DR exploration
My friend and I enjoyed this experience. Our guide NELSON was accommodating, informative, helpful, caring, and a great person. I would say add an extra hour of wiggle room to your itinerary. We’re on island time and it’s important to not pack your day with other events because you don’t want to feel rushed on the tour. Take time to explore, shop and taste the local fresh coconuts and other fruits.

Excellent tour with José
This was such an amazing tour with José, not only because of his courtesy and kindness , but also because of his great knowledge of the history of the DR and Santo Domingo and making all the sites worth the visit. He was also very honest about the pros and cons of his country’s past and present history as all of us should be.
Of course very helpful in pointing out best restaurants , museums (particularly the Casa Mella Russo), bodegas, jewelry stores etc..
Muchas gracias , merci José and hope to meet again.
