We cross the whole of Boa Vista Island on the famous cobblestone road created by the farmers of the north, to reach the Ervatao nature reserve, an ideal place for the Carreta Carreta turtles to lay their eggs, which normally takes place from June to October. A beautiful beach and a gigantic and secular baobab. We then continue to the Morro Nero lighthouse and the typical colorful and flowery villages, where time seems to have stopped. The round trip takes about 1 hour each way, you can stop to take pictures when you wish. MINIMUM 3 PAX

Why turtle watching with Rotcha-Tours? A professional, well-coordinated team that eliminates unnecessary walking on the beaches. Because we work with radio and send the guys ahead with whom we are in constant contact. We will pick you up from your hotel or holiday accommodation at around 6 p.m. After about an hour's drive, we will reach the nature reserve on the east coast of Boa Vista, where 80% of the egg laying takes place. I ask you to wear good shoes and dark and warm clothing! Sometimes we have to be patient, depending on when we can observe the egg laying, we are back at around 11 p.m. 99.9% sighting guarantee.

From July until October, we find this spectacle down the beach in the evening where big females come to lay their eggs inside the special nests all made by themselves. This beauty is protected by the government with massive support of the locals who engages the conservancy project every year. Nowadays, there are many associations and ONGs with international support who help the conservancy and protection program. There are a limit of tours and people per night per beach to not disturb the turtle processes, (each operator has a limit number of guests per visit). We would love to take you on a cultural pub crawl to show you our Boa Vista! Too often we hear people say: Boa Vista is boring, there is nothing to do. Especially in the evening. We want to show you otherwise and that you are actually missing out. Which better way to do that than taking you on a "cultural" Pub Crawl through town in the evening. Get to see Sal Rei through the eyes of a local. Go to places where tourists generally don't come. Let us show you the real Morabeza (hospitality) of Boa Vista! What can you expect during the tour? - Pick up at your hotel (Generally around 18:00) - A welcome shot at each bar - Trying different local spirits with a friendly local guide - Experience a minimum of 6 bars in places where tourist normally don't go. - Eat a local dinner (included) at a local Cape Verdean place. - Finish the tour off at Morabeza beach bar - Return to the hotel whenever you want!

We'd love to take you on a trip to show you places where most of the tourist don't come! First stop: Fonte vicente Oasis. See the the baobab tree, try nuts & baobab juice, rest on a swing and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Next stop: Curral Velho. This village was abandoned in the 19th century after continues pirate attacks. Next stop: salt lake. (Free salt souvenir) Next stop: morro negro lighthouse (163). Here we´ll do the local liquor tasting. Try local spirits: Grogue & Pontche. Next stop: the colorfull town of Fundo das Figueiras to have lunch in the banana plant garden. We'll visit the "Centro de Interpretação Ambiental", this is a museum that focusses on the conservation of sea turtles and wildlife. If that is not really your thing, then you can explore the townn instead. We'll drive via route 66 to the viana desert where we finish the tour with some sandboarding at one of the most beautiful landscapes of the island. We hope to see you soon on beautiful Boa vista!
