We will spend a day fishing wild and strong Northern River Pike on largest river in Lapland & Finland. This species grows close to 20 kg´s on this water system. The water system is safe on the locations we operate. The guide will choose the daily destination based on season, weather, water level and activity of target species - the travelling time to final destination is approx from 15 minutes to one hour from Rovaniemi center (1 hour transportation possibility on 8 hour experiences). This is a private experience where you book the whole fishing boat to yourself. Boat is registered for 5 persons and it can take the rough weather also.

Begin your day with round‑trip transportation from Rovaniemi to Kemi. Upon arrival, you will check in for your icebreaker cruise and have free time to explore the included exhibitions in the main building area. After your visit, a shuttle transfer takes you to Kemi’s harbor to board the Icebreaker Sampo. Once on board, you will be welcomed with a non‑alcoholic drink before joining a guided tour that introduces the vessel’s history and operations. The four‑hour cruise travels through the frozen Gulf of Bothnia, where you can experience floating among the ice in a thermal survival suit. When conditions permit, you may also step out onto the frozen sea. Throughout the cruise, warm indoor lounges and an onboard café‑restaurant offer comfortable spaces to relax. Lunch is included on afternoon departures and served in the ship’s restaurant. At the end of the experience, you will receive a participation certificate as a keepsake before returning to Rovaniemi.

How to catch fish when it’s hiding under a one-meter layer of ice? You will learn that and much more, as we take you ice fishing on a frozen lake amidst beautiful winter scenery. This experience starts at our meeting point in Levi to get all the equipment for ice fishing. After, we travel around 20 minutes to reach the ice-covered lake. Then it is all about fishing! We walk on top of the lake on a thick layer of ice and find the best spots for the day. The main activity is of course ice fishing itself, but the frozen lake offers also an ideal setting for landscape and wildlife photos. We will also set up a campfire and enjoy some hot drinks and snacks – and if there is big enough catch, we can fry the fish too!

Experience the Arctic outdoors safely and learn how the local cultures have survived in the icy wilderness for generations with this snowmobiling and ice-fishing adventure. Meet your outdoor guide and set off on board a snowmobile to admire the winter landscape, learning about the local flora and fauna along the way. Then try your hand at ice fishing in a pristine frozen pond, with a nearby bonfire to keep you warm.

Visit a traditional reindeer farm and learn about reindeer from the herders. You will also be given the chance to feed them their favourite food. After the visit, you will be introduced to the canoes. You can spend a couple of hours paddling around the wonderful lake where you will get to understand just how peaceful it is when you get on the water in Lapland.

This experience offers you the possibility to enjoy a traditional Finnish sauna in beautiful scenery. This renovated 1958 sauna is at a 20-minute drive from Rovaniemi city center and is situated 150 meters from the bus stop. The private session is split between relaxation times in the steam bath, rocked by the crackling of the wooden stove, the sauna scent, and refreshing times bathing in the freezing water of the river. The alternance of warm and cold will relax your body and mind. A guide will show you the facilities and their use before giving clogs, towels and drinkable water. He stays available anytime in a way to insure you the best sauna conditions possible.

We will travel 20 minutes from Rovaniemi by minivan and take a short walk to reach the lake. The location is our own private place away from the crowds in the middle of the peaceful nature. The main activity is of course fishing itself, but the frozen lake also offers an ideal setting for landscape and wildlife photos. Once we reach the lake, we will teach you the basics of ice fishing and enjoy a pleasant afternoon fishing and photographing. We will also set up a campfire in traditional Lappish Teepee and enjoy some hot drinks and snacks – and of course fry our catch of the day!
