The entrance fee for Los Tres Ojos National Park is currently 200 pesos for foreigners and 100 pesos for Dominican citizens. Guided tours and a boat tour of the fourth lagoon are available for an additional fee. Santo Domingo sightseeing tours that include the park start from around US$35.

The main attractions at Los Tres Ojos National Park are the three large freshwater lakes or lagoons—referred to as the “eyes”—inside the caves: Sulphur Lake, Women’s Lake, and the Refrigerator. There is actually a fourth lake (Los Zaramagullones), which can be seen from the outside of the cave, but is not considered one of the “eyes.”

Los Tres Ojos National Park is open year-round. For the best weather, visit between November and March. The park is a popular attraction and can get crowded; come earlier in the morning or nearer to closing time to avoid the crowds and to beat the worst of the midday heat.

It can be very humid inside the caves, so it’s best to wear light and loose clothing that breathes well. Wear sturdy shoes with a good tread, as you will be walking up and down stairs. Bring water, and depending on the time of year, mosquito repellent as well.
