It went by so smooth. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable he gave us so much history of Dominican Republic, in a fun way kids love the 'quizzes' definitely worth the trip.

It was a nice tour, friendly guide with good sense of humor and a comfortable ride. But it's too ambitious in terms of where they take you in the four hours you have available. It would make more sense to do two separate tours. One for Tres Ojos and Faro a Colón and another for the Santo Domingo old town.

My friend and I enjoyed this experience. Our guide NELSON was accommodating, informative, helpful, caring, and a great person. I would say add an extra hour of wiggle room to your itinerary. We’re on island time and it’s important to not pack your day with other events because you don’t want to feel rushed on the tour. Take time to explore, shop and taste the local fresh coconuts and other fruits.

I had the most absolutely best time. My driver was friendly and courteous, and the tour guide was amazing and very, very knowledgeable.!

We felt that we had missed a lot of what the web site said we would get
We did not visit the Parque Colon
We did not go into the Casas Reales museum
Our guide tried to persuade us not to descend into the Three Eyes cave
Our guide was more interested in meeting friends and talking on the phone than guiding us. He did not ask us what our interests were ,or even our names
He was no help in getting us into position for the best photographs
The included lunch was poor fare in a back street restaurant

This was an amazing excursion! My guide had so much information to share and even recommended different sites to see, as well as restaurants and bars. I learned a lot and enjoyed the experience.

The tour started with a pickup inside the cruise pier gate, right in front of the terminal exit. Driver Alex did a fantastic job of navigating the crazy traffic. Guide Armundo knew all about the history of the country and each site, and made sure we knew it (by asking questions about what he told us)! During the downtown walking portion we stopped at some extra sights that were not on the agenda. At the end we had an EXCELLENT lunch at a nice Italian restaurant (which was not advertised clearly in the description). The tour ran a couple hours longer than planned, but this was a good deal for us, as still returned well within our ship's boarding time. For me, the highlight was the underground Caves/Lakes (called 3 Eyes Park).

This tour was scheduled to begin at 9am. At 9:05am, I messaged the company and was told that the driver was going to get to me at 10am. At 10am, they messaged me saying that the new pickup was going to be 10:20am because of traffic. I messaged them at 11:15am with no response. I called Viator and they tried getting in touch with them with no answer. I requested a refund from Viator and 15mims later, I get a call from the operator telling me that they are 10mins away. I told them I waited over 2 hours for a 4 hour tour and it took them 30mins to respond to my request for an update. The operator gets upset and starts screaming at me in Spanish and then goes tour or not? Who wants to go on a tour with someone who treats paying customers that way. I had one day left and it was too late to book another activity. At this point I hope Viator honors my request for a refund.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you experienced during your scheduled tour. We understand how important your time is, especially when you have limited days to explore, and we deeply regret that we fell short of your expectations.
The traffic situation in Santo Domingo has been exceptionally challenging lately, and unfortunately, this caused significant delays on the day of your tour. While we did our best to keep you updated, we acknowledge that our communication could have been more timely and clear. This is not the level of service we strive to provide, and we take full responsibility for the delays and the lack of responsiveness at certain points.
We are particularly concerned about the phone conversation you mentioned, as this type of behavior is completely unacceptable and does not represent our values or the standards we uphold. We are currently conducting an exhaustive investigation to identify the team member involved and will take immediate action to address this matter. We do not tolerate such situations, and we are committed to ensuring that every interaction with our customers is respectful and professional.
We appreciate your understanding and patience, and we have already processed your refund through Viator as requested. If there’s anything else we can do to make this right or assist you in the future, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

At first, I felt a bit insecure because I wasn’t given the name of the guide, even after requesting it. Additionally, when I arrived, I found out the tour would be just me, which I would have liked to know in advance. As a solo traveler, especially as a woman, safety is always a concern.
The transportation on the way there was excellent, but once we arrived at the locations, I felt the pace was a bit rushed. The guide, Francisco, was extremely competent, demonstrating vast knowledge and answering all my questions. He also showed great skill in navigating the city, which was impressive. My rating for him is 5.
The lunch was good, and the venue was pleasant, but I missed having more salad options. Considering the price I paid, I expected a more complete experience. For instance, it would have been great to include visits to iconic places like the Ozama Fortress and the Columbus Lighthouse.
The transportation on the way back fell short of expectations. On the way there, the company provided a driver who accompanied me and the guide, but on the way back, they called a ride-share service and gave me the money to pay for it. This was not the level of service I was expecting.
Overall, the tour is quite comprehensive, but there are some areas that could be improved to better justify the price and provide a safer, more satisfying experience.

The tour is amazing covering many sites in one all encompasing tour. Our guide was very informed of the history of the island and spoke fluently covering both the english and Spanish speaking group. The tour tends to last a little longer than the 4 hours around 5.5 as the buffet lunch and time at Tres Ojos can take a little longer depending on crowds.

It was ok. They did not provide bottle water as advertised. It was raining and they had an umbrella in the car. When I asked to use it he said he would provide one and never did. They were half hour late in picking us up and I felt like they rushed a little through the tour to make up time.
Response from Host, Jan 2025
Hello dear customer, we apologize for what you told us; On rainy days in Santo Domingo, traffic is congested, which caused our driver to not arrive on time. It is a shame that your expectations were not exceeded. We are at your service to provide you with a memorable experience on a future occasion.

Victor is the best tour guide. He is knowledgeable and ensures that your ok all along the way. The price is also good as it includes pickup, lunch and the entry to all areas.
Anneriz_W, Aug 2024
Our tour guide Rodolfo was knowledgeable and helpful. Jeyson was amazing. Thanks to both for giving us an unforgettable experience
Yolanda_P, Jul 2024
They were an hr late but the tour guy Francisco was charismatic and knowledgeable . However it felt a bit rushed through the entire experience because we were picked up late also the weather was not the best . They then took us to an amazing gift store that had great service .The tour guy takes great pictures .Over all the tour was very informative but no lunch was included.

ShaniqueAva_B, Mar 2024
The most memorable part of this trip was the caves (Los Tres Ojos) the lakes were beautiful and the mini ride on the raft to go to the second lake was interesting.
NOELLE_M, Mar 2024
Francisco was a wonderful tour guide. We were fortunate enough to have a small group, only 4 of us. He was very knowledgeable and told us way more fun facts than I can ever remember. We got lots of great pictures. I would highly recommend this tour.
Regina_R, Mar 2024
Victor brought the history and landmarks of Santo Domingo to life for us. He was so knowledgeable and willing to share the rich culture of the area with us. He answered all of our questions and was happy to ensure we saw all of the highlights with us. Highly recommend this tour and Victor as your guide!
Brett_K, Feb 2024
Pretty disorganized. When we finally met our guide he was great though very much on his own schedule not the one we booked.
Mazen_J, Feb 2024
Beautiful city with plenty of stories that makes it even more interesting. Our guide was really knowledgeable and fun, made the tour even more pleasant.
Steven_G, Feb 2024
Our guide Roberto provided us with a lot of facts about the history of Dom Rep. He and the driver were very accommodating as we were with an 84 year old who walked slowly. The tour was a great way to see the city of Santo Domingo.
Gisele_C, Feb 2024
Thank you to our guide, Francisco. He gave us a fun and interesting tour of the Colonial Zone. We saw many landmarks. First we rode to Los Tres Ojos and the Presidential Palace. We saw the Columbus Lighthouse, then walked around Columbus Park and the beautiful Cathedral. Francisco is very personable as well as knowledgeable. He told us many interesting historical facts and he took pictures and video of us. We would highly recommend taking this tour.
Keianna_L, Jan 2024
Tres Ojos was amazingly beautiful and our guide Paco was the best! We also enjoyed the cocao tea and mamajuana! Must do!
Diane_S, Dec 2023
We had a very small tour of just 5 people! It was an enjoyable day! I wish we entered the lighthouse rather than just looking inside.
Shubham_P, Dec 2023
Didn’t see 3 of the places cause they were closed, never stated that on the itinerary. Paid for my own water, guide was very nice, but overall overpaid for this.
Roger_I, Aug 2023
The team was exceptional. The driver was courteous although there was a clear language barrier between us and him. The guide (Leo ) was very knowledgeable and helpful but the icing on the cake was the management team who went beyond what was necessary and assisted with on the ground transportation logistics and advice while in Santo Domingo and were easily contactable via whatapp or phone.
Tina_D, Aug 2023
My wife and I have been on many tours in many countries and this tour was the best by far. If you book a tour you must request Victor especially if your language is English. He has been giving tours her for 45 years and is an exemplary gentleman. Our happiness was his top priority. We will definitely book again.
Benito_G, Jul 2023
Great itinerary with lots of visits to artesanal shops, chocolate stores, and liquor stores. We like the walking tour
Maryam_S, Jun 2023
A great way to explore the historic colonial zone if you’re staying in a hotel outside of it !!!!!! !!
Jennifer_k, May 2023
Nice people but unprofessional. The guide spoke limited English, didn't have much insights to share about the locations we visited. Will not recommend the tour to other friends if they were visiting.
Response from Host, Nov 2024
