Bike tour of 2 hours, divided equally between bike ride and tasting. Departure at 16.00 and arrival in the cellar at 17.00 (a meeting time is required about 20' before). Explore the wildest part of the Island of Elba: a 450-hectare estate spread over a vast promontory (Monte Calamita) to the southeast. Enjoy an excursion aboard a top-of-the-range e-mtb, which will allow us to ride dirt roads in greater safety. The FCI (Italian cycling federation) MTB guide will give you insights both before and during the ride. Get excited during the breaks in panoramic points overlooking the sea: you will visit cliffs overlooking the sea, natural lakes and ancient pine forests immersed in the Mediterranean scrub. You will cross one of the highest vineyards on the Island of Elba. Set off from Marina di Campo for a fascinating 5-hour kayaking adventure along the scenic south coast of Elba. It starts from the Elba MTB Lacona headquarters, inside the Residence il Mandorlo, and after about 500m of paved road you will enter the Capo Stella area: all outside of traffic and in a 100% natural terrain. The departure of the excursion is from the village of Capoliveri, one of the oldest on Elba. We will drive along the scenic road that leads from the town to the mining area, then detour and descend near the Innamorata beach, famous for the legend of the same name. Once upon a time, iron ore arrived here, via a network of tracks, which was loaded onto the boats that transported it to the blast furnaces. We will follow the path of the old railway, of which today little more than a path remains, immersed in the Mediterranean scrub, between Ginestre and rosemary. The mines were in operation from 1971 to 1981 and were one of the most modern mines in Europe, built with very innovative criteria for the time. At the time of the cessation of extractive activity, only 1/3 of the deposit had been exploited, despite there still being a lot of iron in the depths, available up to 250 meters below sea level.
