Great trip on Loch Ness
Great trip on Loch Ness. Lovely boat, clean and tidy with informative commentary. Not crowded so could move around freely. Thank you - we all really enjoyed it!

Great day on Loch Ness
Our tour guide Neil was great. He took us to a few out of the way spots around Loch Ness like Dores and a couple really old bridges. Then we had lunch in fort Agustus and walked around the locks (locks, not Lochs). We went up the other side of Loch Ness to Urquart Castle to see that, then get on a cruise to go the rest of the way. Definitely a must do when you're in Inverness.

An enjoyable daytrip
The tour is just what it says, a sampling of all the attractions around Lochness. The cruise to finish the tour was a nice touch.

Great Tour for the Time-Crunched
This is a great way to see Loch Ness and some other sites in a short trip! You’ll wish you had more time at Urquhart Castle, but if you are on a time crunch in the Highlands, this is perfect.

Best guide ever!
This is the guy you want to take your tour with! Very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The other things you see beyond Loch Ness are probably what make the trip. It’s definitely worth the money to not be apart of a huge group.

Perfect sightseeing of Loch Ness
We had an amazing experience on this cruise and Loch Ness. The weather was perfect so we enjoyed it and had the chance to see the castle, the mountains and even maybe…Nessie

Loch Ness Cruise & Urquhart Castle
We had an amazing time on the Loch Ness Cruise & Urquhart Castle tour! The scenery was absolutely stunning, and the cruise on Loch Ness combined with the visit to the castle made for a fascinating and memorable experience.
A special thank you to our bus driver, who deserves a huge round of applause. His enthusiasm, knowledge, and great sense of humor made the journey even more enjoyable.

Great day trip to see the Highlands
Full-day trip to the Highlands which are absolutely a "must see" when in Scotland especially if you are short on visit time. Tour guide Steve B was great and a wickedly skilled driver. There are some add-on experience options at Loch Ness which we chose to do, but not required.

Well worth the money
This day trip is well worth the money. We took this trip mostly for the stop in Inverness and Loch Ness. However, the stop at the Hermitage was amazing even with the light rain we had while there.
I also recommend taking the Loch Ness boat cruise.
One item of note the itinerary states a stop at a fish and chips restaurant. We did not do this stop not sure if that was due to time or oversight.

Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle
The weather started out typical for Scotland - rainy, but as the day progressed it turned out lovely which made our scenery spectacular! The guide was knowledgeable and made our trip extra pleasant. The boat ride to Urquhart Castle provided numerous opportunities for photographs. Loch Ness was beautiful. Urquhart Castle was stunning and rich in history. Thank you!

When to visit

Nessie rumors began when an Irish monk caught sight of something unusual swimming in the lake's inky waters in the seventh century.
For more background on the Nessie phenomenon, visit the Loch Ness Centre & Exhibition at Drumnadrochit.
Wear warm clothes, including a waterproof outer layer, as it can get cold on the water.
Day trips from Edinburgh and Glasgow generally last around 12 hours.
The Loch Ness Centre is wheelchair accessible, but most boat trips are not.
Bring your camera so you can document any possible Nessie sightings.
