Great trek with Sung !
We had a great trek with Sung. Started from SaPa, generally the trek was easy, some roads but mainly paths however the first part was quite tricky and slippery due to construction work going on and trying to get down quite a steep bank, after that it was fine walking through the rice fields (no rice in January as it’s not rice season which is (April -August) A couple of young women joined us they were quite helpful getting us down the tricky bank, they staid with us until we got to a little drink stop where they showed us what they were selling. We bought a small handmade purse from each of them for around £5 each which they were very happy with, giving us bracelets for free then they left us. We continued to walk amongst the fields, up to a bridge then along the river into another village where we had a delicious lunch which is included but had to buy drinks. We continued through the village looking in a traditional home etc. All in all a very good tour. I would advise that if the weather has been wet then some parts could be slippery especially on rocks when crossing streams etc

Great guide
The guide was wonderful! She spoke perfect English and we could ask a lot of questions and interact with her. Food also was good.

Excellent half day walk around the Sa Pa local villages
Sing gave us an excellent 5 hour walking tour around the Sa Pa region and neighbouring villages. Her English is excellent and she gave us exceptionally good details of the area and about the daily life in the village. The sites were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk.

Muong Hoa Valley (Thung Lung Muong Hoa)
  • As with everywhere around Sapa, valley vendors can be pushy. Booking a tour with a guide can slash the hassle factor.
  • Rice field hikes can be great fun with older children. Travelers with young kids will want to use back carriers, not strollers, to explore around Sapa.
  • Muong Hoa Valley is not wheelchair accessible.
