Top Champagne Private Sightseeing Tours

Our guide Gwendel was lovely. Knowledgeable, friendly, a delight to spend the day with. The champagne houses/tastings were great. We loved experiencing a big house and a small family production. And lunch was a special treat! Highly recommend the tour.

We were picked up right on time by Lucas. Nice clean Mercedes for driving around the beautiful area. Let's start with Lucas, he was excellent (part of the 5 star grade). Full of knowledge, ease to understand, very likeable. An asset to that company. First stop Veuve Clicquot was also excellent. Guide was super, again full of knowledge and of course the tasting was excellent, generous. And of course their marketing (and boutique) is second to none. We left, drove to just outside of Epernay for a lunch at the stunning Royal Champagne Hotel and Spa. Stunning is the best descriptor. Wow. 5+++ Stars. Was not rushed there. Left and had a quick stop and talk with the famous monk Dom Perignon (lol) at his church. Fascinating. Then on to Moet (could not get into Ruinart), which was the weakest part of the day (for us). The tour was fine, then we got to the tasting, the champagne was poured and our guide said he had to leave, that a colleague would come down and finish with us. No one came down for like 15-20 minutes so we had to try and make our way to the boutique and the out to meet Lucas. That was poor. Finished the day driving back and were let off right at our hotel. A very very nice day. Thank you Lucas.

Enjoyed the history, food and bubbles! We were shown all over town and outside of town, took some great pictures, and went to a small champagne house and ended in Veuve Clicquot. The only little negative I could think of was I wish we could have spend more time relaxing at Veuve, but that is a personal choice. Since that was important to me and the reason to have chosen the tour. However everything was great, and we both enjoyed the tour.
