Unforgettable Half‑Day Boat Rental — A Bonaire Highlight!
We rented a self‑drive 19ft Ranieri speedboat for a half‑day, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of our entire trip. Even though our cruise ship arrived late at 2pm, the team were waiting for us, communication was excellent, and we were taken straight to the dock. After a quick but clear briefing, we were off.
We started by cruising past our ship — the perfect photo opportunity — before heading over to Klein Bonaire. It was a windy day and the water was a bit choppy, so we got pretty wet, but honestly it just added to the fun. As we sped along, flying fish were leaping out of the water and gliding away from our bow wave, which the kids absolutely loved.
From there we made our way to 1000 Steps, where the snorkelling was incredible. Crystal‑clear water, loads of marine life, and the freedom to explore at our own pace made it unforgettable.
The boat itself was immaculate and handled beautifully. The whole experience felt safe, smooth, and extremely well organised. We were so glad we chose this activity — the kids thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was a fantastic way to see Bonaire from the water.

The snorkeling trip that made us want to move to Bonaire
If you’re heading to Bonaire and want a snorkeling experience that feels personal and full of island hospitality, this husband–wife–and-daughter team is the one you want. Our cruise ship arrived late, and they still waited for us with zero stress — just big smiles and a warm “you’re on island time.” That alone tells you everything about how they treat people.
Once we got going, the experience was incredible. Their gear is clean and easy to use, their instructions are clear and patient, and they know all the little hidden spots bursting with color and sea life. We saw more underwater beauty with them in one trip than anywhere else on our cruise.
And the hospitality? Next level. After snorkeling, they set us up with snacks, cold drinks, and of course… their famous rum punch. It was the perfect island moment.
Honestly, spending time with this family will have you wondering why you don’t just move to Bonaire permanently. They love what they do, they love their island, and they make you feel like a part of it.
If you want a relaxed, unforgettable snorkeling adventure with people who truly care, book with them. 10/10.

Fun Landsailing adventure!
So much fun! This excursion is easy to get to. An air conditioned van picks you up and returns you to the cruise port just outside the gate. The sail cars are easy to learn. They provide a helmet, gloves, and glasses. They take ohtoots of you racing and provide the download for feee. They also give you a nice reusable water bottle to keep. The driver will give a tour and answer questions to and from the land sailing destination. It is safe and so much fun!

Nixon and Shantel took...
Nixon and Shantel took great care of our group. It was a 15 min drive to where you get the ATVs. Then there were some basic instructions and off we went. It was awesome riding through the countryside. 95% of the time you are off-road. We saw iguanas, donkeys, goats and hermit crabs. We saw caves with drawings and learned about how the caves were formed. We went to one of the lighthouses. It was really fun. Be warned it is dusty so I would recommend good covering sunglasses and a bandana or gator for covering your nose.
