Hi, I’m Natacha—Swiss, Italian, Armenian, and one of the few PhD guides in Switzerland—and this is my signature walking tour through Bern’s Old Town: inside the cathedral and the medieval churches, and around the Zytglogge and the Federal Palace.
Bern is a city where medieval, baroque, and modern layers coexist—orderly at first glance, but surprisingly rich once you know how to read it. This tour reveals how architecture reflects power, religion, and urban identity.
I hold 3 Master’s degrees and a PhD in Medieval History, Art History, and Archaeology. I specialize in reading cities and monuments through their architecture, symbols, and sacred spaces. What you see, why it was built, what it meant and how it expressed political power, faith and spatial organization.
Don't worry though: I don’t lecture—I tell stories. The whole experience is clear, relaxed, and engaging.
Most visitors leave with an enthusiastic and completely new understanding of Bern and Switzerland.
