The best tour in Belfast
Dan was an absolutely incredible tour guide, he does it in a very unique way. He shows you the history of the North of Ireland through 3 perspectives so you can really get the picture. He took me to some absolute jaw dropping places and was such a kind and lovely man to talk to. He has incredible knowledge and charges a very reasonable price for what he gives you.

An eye-opening insight into the Troubles
This was a great way of understanding the recent history of Ireland. The tour took us to some well known places and the commentary was very interesting to us all despite our varied ages. The driver was very accommodating as we changed our pick up spot. We thoroughly recommend this tour.

A really moving and informative tour
This was a fantastic overview of the troubles. Our tour guide, Brendan, shared his personal experiences as he drove us around some key sites in both the Catholic and Protestant areas of Belfast. The IRA memorial and the peace wall were particularly moving. It really deepen my understanding of what went on in Northern Ireland, and what’s still going on?

An Unforgettable Ride Through History
If you only do one thing in Belfast, make it the Peace Walls Tour and don’t be surprised if you leave with a completely different perspective on the city.
Kevin delivered a masterclass on the Ireland/British conflict, the kind of detailed, nuanced insight you won’t find in any guidebook, including eye-opening and controversial history we never would have discovered on our own. His storytelling genuinely moved us. There were moments that stopped us in our tracks, bringing real humanity to events that could easily feel distant or abstract.
And through it all, he was laugh-out-loud funny, warm, and genuinely passionate about sharing Belfast’s story honestly and completely. You could tell this wasn’t just a job for him.
By the end of the tour, we felt like we actually understood what we were seeing — the murals, the walls, the neighborhoods — in a way that was both humbling and profound.
Kevin, you were an absolute gem. Highest possible recommendation; don’t miss this tour!

Great day in Belfast
We were fortunate to be partnered with our tour guide Marty who has so much knowledge and passion for Belfast he made our tour really interesting- we would definitely recommend this tour if you want to hear about not only the troubles but how Belfast is leading the way with some fantastic community projects - definitely wear comfy shoes though as there is a lot of walking but well worth it!

A must-do
Dan was amazing! Easy pick up from Belfast train station he took me to the places and streets of his youth and filled them with first hand stories, you can ask a million questions and he'd patiently answer with his big heart. Thank you Dan for helping me learn and unlearn. There is still hope for humanity, because of people like you.

Perfect for families
I took Dan’s tour with my two children (7 and 12), and it was absolutely fantastic! Dan was brilliant—engaging, thoughtful, and full of personal insight. He shared a moving first-hand account of growing up in Belfast and explained everything in a way that my kids could easily connect with. Dan gave us fascinating context about how Belfast’s history relates to conflicts around the world and why it still matters today. He welcomed every question about current politics and everyday life, and his honesty made the tour even more meaningful. Hearing from someone who lived through the Troubles yet now navigates a society where peace exists but tensions remain was truly eye-opening. We also loved that you can choose your pick-up and drop-off locations, which made the whole experience incredibly convenient.
Highly recommended!

Phenomenal tour, definitely worth the time
I’ve watched movies and read the history of the troubles but to hear it from someone who lived through those times made it so much more real. It was heartbreaking but our guide gave us a different perspective, one which can be applied to the problems in the world today.
