Val was a great tour guide who spoke good English. He was very informative regarding the area, the vineyards and how the Burgundy wine area is different and unique in the way the land is plotted. I would highly recommend him. We rented bikes from Active Tours in Beaune. It was a full day of biking, lunch, tastings and 2 wineries.

We had an absolutely fantastic wine tour through Burgundy and couldn’t recommend the experience more highly. The day was incredibly well organised, relaxed and informative, with a great balance between learning about the region and simply enjoying the wines and beautiful surroundings. Our guide was knowledgeable, passionate and genuinely engaging, giving us a much deeper understanding of Burgundy’s vineyards, appellations, terroir and winemaking traditions without ever making it feel overly technical. We visited some wonderful producers, tasted an excellent range of wines and had the opportunity to experience places we probably never would have discovered on our own. One of the highlights was how personal the whole experience felt. Nothing was rushed, there was plenty of time for questions and conversation, and you could really feel the connection to the local winemakers and the region. If you’re visiting Burgundy and have an interest in wine, this is an experience I would highly recommend. It was easily one of the highlights of our time in Burgundy and a day we’ll remember for a long time.

Wow! That was a fabulous day. Olivier was a knowledgable, articulate and intuitive host. We stopped a couple of wineries, both very different but wonderful in their own way. We didn’t know a great deal about burgundy wines apart from how enjoyable they are to drink but I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this day tour to anyone. Thank you Olivier
