Mysore during Dasara was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Being part of the celebrations — immersed in the community, wandering through vibrant markets, and sharing meals with locals — gave us a glimpse of everyday life in a city alive with tradition and energy. The highlight was undoubtedly the festival at the palace, where the atmosphere was absolutely electric — music, colour, and dance all blending into a celebration that felt both grand and deeply human. Standing among the crowds as the palace glowed and everyone moved to the rhythm of the festivities was something we’ll never forget. We were incredibly fortunate to have Prashant (the owner and coordinator), handle our last-minute changes with grace and warmth, ensuring everything flowed seamlessly. Rupesh (our guide) was like a local secret agent — effortlessly guiding us through Mysore’s hidden palace alleys, market corners, and festival crowds with the precision of someone who knows every heartbeat of the city. And Pradeep, our driver, was endlessly patient and friendly, always ready with a smile and thoughtful touches that made every leg of our journey comfortable and easy. Great Tour to Mysore and the temples with my guide Manjunath. The palace tour was amazing and the Somnathpur Temple was fascinating with the intricacy of the stonework. I really enjoyed the markets and the food tour experiencing the authenticity of the traditional South Indian cuisine.

Bring an appetite for the fantastic famous South Indian restaurant at the end! The gardens are huge and beautiful, and the temples and palace are a delight. The guide was a lot of fun to talk to, and the driver was excellent and helped me feel very safe.

We really enjoyed the 6 day trip to the golden triangle and Veranasi. It was well organised with good to excellent guides and drivers particularly Manu, excellent and went beyond decent chap as well.
