Expect the hike to the top to take at least 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your speed and fitness level.
Bring sun protection, such as a wide-brimmed hat and sunscreen. Be prepared for uneven terrain and wear appropriate footwear. The trail is well-marked, but it’s a good idea to have offline maps for navigation.
Bring a good flashlight or headlamp as you'll enter tunnels that once formed part of the castle’s defensive architecture on the hike.
Due to the castle’s remote location and steep ascents, trekking alone is not recommended; instead, hike with a buddy, a guide, or in a group.
It may be tempting to enter the castle ruins, but access is officially restricted as entering some of the unstable buildings may be unsafe.
