Such an awesome experience. The sandbank was breathtaking, and the beachside lunch with fresh seafood was delicious! They give you a great portion size and continuously make sure you’re well fed and taken care of. There was also local entertainment on the sandbank. The tortoise sanctuary was awesome! We got to also see peacocks and other animals, which wasn’t expected. Then the Stonetown walking tour was the icing one cake. We got to learn so much about Zanzibar’s history and culture. We walked the streets of stone town seeing different architecture and stopped at a spice market where we could purchase spices. This was a 10/10 experience. Our tour guide Hashir was so cute and informative! Very friendly and polite!

Tour guide A.Razak was very professional , he showed and explained every thing , so I don’t have any question ,lunch with seafood was amazing ,fresh fruits as well ,only big issued was Nakupenda sandbank doesnot have any wash room,so around 2 hours staying there without wash room is very difficult ,Highly recommended ,,thanks

Amazing prison island tour

We had a wonderful and fun experience on the this tour. Everyone was courteous and professional. They (captain/assistant/tour guide) made us felt safe while on the boat. Abu our tour guide is very knowledgeable, he shared his knowledge about prison island, its history and representation. He ended the tour with the famous Jambo song. Would definitely recommend taking this tour.

Poorly organised

Lack of water supplied, no toilet breaks offered, lack of information throughout the tour, no changing facilities, no life jackets or safety information. Food very disorganised and not enough for party size, if you don’t like seafood only chicken available and very little of it and you can’t mix and match, fish offered was cut in half and if you were lucky you got tail end, unlucky a head 🤢🤮 Boat people were quite entertaining and tried hard but better organisation required stonetown tour disappointing. Quite expensive for what’s on offer

Amazing experience a must when you visit Zanzibar and great service from the tour operator. Nakupenda is truly a paradise and stone town is unique

Yassir (tour operator/owner) is good man. He helped me with pick-up and drop-off from/to hotel. Reasonably priced. Picking other guests from different hotels took long time because of some miscommunication but eventually we were a group of 7, Yassir is decent in English, French and Spanish. The prison island boat ride was fun, the prison itself (now a museum and commercial place) is not good (there's hardly anything to see). Peacocks were good. Too many old turtles on walkways causing BIG crowd and delay and ruining experience a bit. Then Nakupenda - sand bank is amazing, water is cold (not warm like in Caribbean), food mostly catered to non-veg. Seems very commercial and a bit crowded. But good. Stonetown is absolutely overrated in my opinion. There's nothing to see/experience except small lanes/streets and vendors and hotels and restaurants. Not much ethnic, cultural, historical stuff. A bit dirty and congested. I wish I had not spent time/money on it. Overall, I'd say it was decent tour, I'd recommend company and guide. Appreciation for places lies in eyes of visitor.
