First of all eat at the cafe! Great seafood chowder and lovely views from sitting area.
Very interesting tour with a fun, knowledgable guide. He was friendly, funny and included a lot of history on the lighthouse itself as well as other lighthouses around the world. He shared information about the local area and gave ample time to ask questions and answer them. Highly recommended.
The view from the top was amazing! Even on a rainy cloudy day!

Unable to rate as was cancelled more than a week ago. Tour provider advises funds were returned to Viator, but no refund has been received to date and Viator has been sending emails about’your tour is in … days’ and ‘please rate your tour’.

A good guided tour with an informative guide.
Around 100 steps but you stop off on each level and there's a handrail so it's OK on the knees!
Great view from the top. Free parking, toilets and a nice on site cafe.

Our guide was great! The lady at the gift shop was also really personable. We had the open faced shrimp sandwich at the cafe with the vegetable soup and both were very good!

I visited the Hook Lighthouse for the first time on Sat 04/02/23 with my hubby & son.
We had an amazing tour guide who knew the history and features of the hook so well and he made the trip fun and memorable.
We were fascinated by the beautiful scenery, rich history and unforgettable features of the lighthouse and its surroundings especially knowing that we were standing on the second oldest operating lighthouses in the world.
Overall, we loved everything about our tour and got value for the money and more, will definitely recommend it to friends and come back again.

From arriving at the Lighthouse, we were met at the ticket desk who had our tickets ready and all staff were so friendly.
The guide then took the tour of the light house. He was so knowledgeable, kind, very helpful and really happy to explain the full story and more about the area and what we looked out from the Lighthouse.

I love lighthouses and try to visit any when I can. The visit to Hook was excellent! We were able walk right round the grounds, ad then the tour inside the lighthouse was really interesting the guide was really enthusiastic, knowledgeable and has inspired us to research of our own. Also had some lovely soup in the cafe with a great sea view. It was a great day out.

Delighted to finally visit Hook Lighthouse with my two young boys. We had an excellent tour guide in Jon, who gave us the history of the lighthouse, in both a factual and humourous way. The tour lasted 45 minutes and we were delighted that after climbing 115 steps we got to step outside and view the stunning countryside. Visited on World Lighthouse Day which also saw the Official Opening of the Save Our Seas Eco Educational Centre.
