The Twin Falls are two waterfalls in the picturesque Mt. Aspiring National Park, a short drive from Wānaka. Most visitors just see them from the road, but you can get up close on this half-day level 1 climb that’s suitable for beginners. See the national park from a new perspective from the via ferrata route while challenging yourself physically and mentally.

Please meet at the farm gate at the waterfall. Take the Wanaka-Mt Aspiring Road towards Treble Cone Ski field. After approximately 20 minutes, you will see 2 huge waterfalls on the left, and you will drive over a cattle stop. This is where you meet. If you hit a gravel road, you have gone too far.

- Operates in most weather conditions, please dress appropriately
- What to bring: water bottle, snack, sturdy close-toed walking shoes, wear comfortable trekking clothes suitable for the weather, Optional: small backpack, camera, sunglasses, sun protection (hat and sun block)
- Minimum age on this tour is 12 years. If you are under 16, you must climb our via ferrata with an adult guardian. For children under 12 a private tour may be an option. Please request upon booking.
- Near public transportation
- All minors (16 years and under) require an adult guardian’s signature on their waiver. There are no upper age limits to this activity.
- Please advise if over 220 pounds (100kg) or under 88 pounds (40kg)
- Must be able to climb a ladder and use both arms
- Not recommended for travelers with back problems
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 12 travelers

This was one of the best climb I have had. The guide Tongi was amazing. I loved it so much that I upgraded to Level2 straight after my Level 1 climb. Its a must do activity. Highly recommended.

I cannot say enough good things about this experience. It was so great from start to finish. On the morning of my booking, I had an emergency and was heartbroken that I had to cancel, but owner Mark let me change my climb to the next day. I am so appreciative of that! As for the climb itself, my guide Naomi was so wonderful and an excellent teacher. I have no climbing experience, and I felt safe with her all day. I loved it so much that I added on level 2 because I couldn't bear going back down the mountain. I absolutely recommend this experience!!!!

We hebben hier als stel aan mee gedaan. Op internet zagen we het en er was nog een plekje dat paste in ons reisschema. Google maps stuurde ons 1 afslag te ver, maar het was ons uiteindelijk duidelijk waar we moesten zijn. De ontvangst was hartelijk en na het aandoen van een klimharnas en opzetten van een helm kregen we instructies. Op een oefenrots mochten we laten zien dat we het hadden begrepen.
Daarna gingen we in twee groepen uiteen. Level 1 en level 2. Wij deden level 1. Voor mij was het wel een beetje spannend, ik heb het niet zo op hoogtes. Ondanks dat stelde onze gids me erg op m'n gemak en kreeg ik strrds meer plezier en minder angst. We klommen tegen te wand op en moesten hier en daar oversteken via wat bruggetjes: vaak niet meer dan een paar staalkabels en een houten plank. Mooi uitzicht toen we op hoogte waren en een super mooie ervaring. Zelfs voor iemand zonder klimervaring en een tikkeltje hoogtevrees. Een echte aanrader!
