I really enjoyed the tour of the caves. Curtis was a great guide. I’m unhappy to report that communication was lacking. Viator 3rd party website did not prepare us for attire and the woman at the visitor Center was rather rude telling us that what we had on was unacceptable and that we were wrong and the site tells you what to wear. We ended up paying extra for suits which in my opinion wasn’t really needed and all the staff seemed to blame Viator and wouldn’t accept any responsibility themselves. Really made a birthday surprise a downer. We made the best of the tour but wouldn’t return until they get things in order.

Alex, our guide, was fantastic! She made numerous stops on the way to the cave to explain the landscape and how caves are formed. The cave was fantastic and well worth the experience. They were reasonably dry so boots weren't required when we went in August.

Erin shared her wealth of caving knowledge in a way that prompts the new-be to want to learn much more. All our questions lead to ohs and ahs - over 3000 caves on Vancouver Island?? 3 weeks underground caves-mapping? Her enthusiasm and generous friendly knowledge sharing was the icing on this adventurous cake - that was not a cake-walk at all. Superb fun tour !!
