Overview

Get off the beaten path and explore southern Trinidad. After a convenient hotel pickup in Port-of-Spain, stop by Chaguanas, home to much of the island’s East Indian population. Tour a local ashram and feast on a delicious roti before visiting the tiny village of La Brea and its massive lake of natural asphalt. Great tour. The Pitch Lake is very interesting. It was nice to see the south end of Trinidad. Junior was a great driver and tour guide.

Pick up was on time. Khaleel fom island experience was very attentive with good driving skills. The visit to the market was fun and it place is clean. Visiting LA BREA was amazing, it's a UNESCO site that you can drive and walk over.

The tour guide was really just a taxi driver. His knowledge on the history and geography of Trinidad was very very limited.

Il faut rouler près de 2 heures pour se rendre au Pitch Lake, ce qui fait loin pour seulement voir un lac de bitume. Le guide qui nous a été assigné avait un très fort accent et il était très difficile de comprendre ce qu'il disait.
