Pick up and drop to Caroni sanctuary was prompt and on time. Driver was friendly and helpful checking us into the tour and secured a great tour guide for the sanctuary. Breathtaking views can be seen throughout the tour. We encountered a handful of birds while cruising but once stationed for about 20 mins we were able to enjoy seeing hundreds of birds at sunset.

If you like birds like the scarlet ibis, flamingos and the like you will really appreciate this tour. You will also enjoy the natural scenery it was really breathtaking and calming especially when the sun started to set. The only thing was that the return to base was a bit too soon to enjoy the full experience of the birds returning to roost.

Best natural sight I’ve seen! The scarlet ibis is the most beautiful bird! We saw them in the trees and flying and then nesting.

Great wildlife, mostly birds including Flamingos but saw one snake and some catfish too. Tour gets better as you go along so bear with it. The 45 mins wait before boarding a small boat was a huge waste of time when you are on holiday which spoilt the experience a bit. A large family on the boat ignored the guidance and were shouting all the way through which wasn't great either but hopefully that's a rare event and we were just unlucky . The pick up and drop off was great and would recommend if you like wildlife

Tour was good. Tour guide was OK. It is scary going through the Grove with the shallow water and fat snakes in the trees, also the crocodiles in the water. It was a site to the flamingos and the scales ibis

This was an absolute amazing tour !
We were picked up by Dominic who made us feel at home. My elderly father was well looked after by Dominic.
Dominic was very knowledge & even tourists were asking him questions. The ride on boat was stunning. The boat guide showed us some good wildlife to beautiful scenery. It's worth bringing a good camera if your into photography 📸.
Dominic was always on hand to explain the history to anything we needed to know.
I would highly recommend this tour & get Dominic as your tour guide !

Excellent and memorable tour! Our guide Dominique was very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and fully bilingual, for Spanish only speakers in my group. The Caroni swamp is a very interesting reserve and the ability to watch all the wildlife, including lots of flamingo and the famous Red Ibis, was the highlight of the experience. Totally recommended!

The river was exquisitely beautiful. The trees were reflected in the water; it was so lovely. We saw many flamingos and many of the red birds. We saw two rainbows. At the end it started raining quite a lot so the captain pulled out a big piece of plastic that we all held over our heads, as we laughed. Guide Dominic was attentive and interesting. I also loved the other 2 travelers that were in our small group.

The tour was interesting and showed many native birds. We had a great tour guide, Dominic ensure that we had a great and comfortable time. From our ride from the hotel, to visiting the visitor's centre, to ensuring that he stayed with us until we were comfortably on the boat, he displayed great customer service.

Wasn't sure what to expect but it was a really good experience which I would definitely recommend. It was very hot so glad I had a hat! Seeing the owl and the Ibis coming in to nest were probably the best bits for me plus the amazing views! We had a really good tour guide too Dominic who picked us up from our hotel and was very knowledgeable about the tour itself so gave us lots of info about what we were going to see. We got there early so he took us around the sanctuary too so we were able to get some really good pics of the owl and the red cardinal.. So cool!

Great opportunity to see an amazing flocks of Trinidad’s national bird, the scarlet ibis, in a spectacular setting. Travel through the mangrove swamp in 30-40 person boats, captained by knowledgeable and friendly guides. Learn about the mangrove eco-system and its importance to the survival of many native species. Your cruise culminates with a stationary viewing of the arrival of hundreds of scaler ibis to their nighttime roosting locations. Wa a after wave of birds fly across the mangrove estuary to surrounding trees providing an unforgettable portrait of red and green again the early evening sky.

Great tour facilitated with Nanan's Caroni boat tour. Driver was on time and there was plenty of history and info provided throughout the tour. The birds are beautiful of course, but we also saw crabs, snakes, flamingo. Highly recommend for nature lovers.

Our taxi driver and guide Dominic was first class. He was a good driver and knew his stuff when it came to the wildlife.
The tour itself was excellent, full of wildlife and related chat. The finale with the Scarlet Ibis was worth the trip on its own.

We had a great time touring the Caroni Swamp and Bird Sanctuary. Jade picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the boat embarkation location. The boat driver took us through the swamp, pointing out various snakes and birds along the way. In the bird sanctuary, we were able to watch flamingos. Then the boat moored for a while and we waited for the scarlet ibises and other birds to arrive to their safe islands a little before sunset. The birds arrived gradually in many groups of a few to a dozen. The boats returned quickly as it turned dark and then Jade drove us back to the hotel. All told it was a nice, chill time.

Intéressant à faire, apaisant, on découvre de la faune et de la flore inhabituelles pour nous (arbres avec racines apparentes et impressionnantes au dessus de l''eau, boa, crabes, flamants, ibis, magnifiques oiseaux rouges), guide bien.
Nous avons regretté d'être passés par Viator car 58€ par personne (certes avec le transport, qui s'est effectué sans problème depuis notre hotel) mais au lieu de 20 USD sur place.
Sinon activité sympa (nous l'avons fait de 16h à 18h, apparemment à faire très tôt le matin à 5h pour voir les ibis s'envoler en masse il paraît que c'est magnifique)
