It was a great experience even in the rain. Thanks to our guide who helped find some shelter and some unique places.
Booking cancelled, which I missed, however Viator still sent 2 later emails with meeting details and ticket , which I got. Showed up at meeting point, waited, and it really dampened the day , as I could have made alternate arrangements, had I been aware of cancelled tour
Joao did a great job. Very knowledgeable and helpful!
Would definitely recommend to someone who wants a good overview of The Hague
John was a humorous Portuguese guide who amused us for 2.5 hours. unfortunately much of the centre of The Hague is currently under renovation and covered in scaffolding, the centre will be far more accessible in 12 months.
Ronald was a great guide. It was a perfect overview of the city and its highlights - lots of interesting stories and good recommendations.
Ronald was an excellent guide! We saw so much in 2 hours. He offered tips and recommendations for the rest of our day. Highly recommend this tour!
We enjoyed this tour. It was a great way to get to know the city. I recommend this tour. It was a free tour, so it was up to you to decide how much to tip. Our group was a little bit big, but our tour guide did a good job making sure we could all hear him.
Taco was an excellent guide and shared his local knowledge. Good information, lots of information and a good sense of humor. The pace was good and overall a very positive experience.
Taco was an amazing guide and a wonderful storyteller! Absolutely recommend. Go for it, it’ll be worth it.
What a great tour! Oscar was fantastic! He kept the whole group entertained not only with interesting history facts but also with a great sense of humor that made the tour of 2,5 hours fly in time. Highly recommend Oscar as your guide.
Oscar was very good and very knowledgable about the subject matter. Have a new understanding of the history of Hague.
You can get this tour for free. It is a free tour, but Viator sells it. When we got there, there was a sign that said free tour.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry if the booking process was not completely clear.
We are definitely not a scam. The €3 is a booking fee to reserve your spot on the free walking tour. This helps us keep the tours running, manage group sizes, and reduce no shows, so the guide can give everyone a better experience.
The €3 is not meant to be the full price of the tour. Our tours are tip based, which means you join the tour first and at the end you decide yourself what the experience was worth to you. The guide may ask for a tip, but the amount is completely up to you.
So yes, if you want to join the tour, please book your spot, come along, enjoy the walk, and afterwards you can tip the guide based on your experience.
Our guide, Joha, was incredibly nice and knowledgeable but we were expecting more walking, exploring, and details on the buildings, and architecture. We didn’t get too many steps in but he did relay the history of the area. The city in itself has a lot of cool old buildings with interesting history. We ended up looking up the history in some of these places on our own afterwards. Maybe Europeans don’t find such things as interesting because they are constantly surrounded by history, but being a North American I was expecting a little more.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re very happy to hear that you found Joha incredibly nice and knowledgeable.
We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not fully match your expectations. We understand that, especially when visiting from North America, the historic buildings and architecture can be a major highlight, and we appreciate your point that you would have liked more walking, exploring, and architectural detail during the tour.
Your feedback is very helpful for us. We will take it into account so we can create a better balance between storytelling, local history, walking, and the beautiful buildings that make the city so special.
Thank you again for joining us, and we hope you still enjoyed discovering the city.
Best regards,

Informative humorous guide on a warm beautiful day. Very pleasant way to enjoy den Hague. Good discussion of Dutch history
We enjoyed the walking tour with Oscar. He was very entertaining and informative. Oscar shared tons of historical facts and stories. We highly recommend this tour to anyone.
Lots of walking but easy to do. Streets were not very crowded & Guide pointed to interesting areas to visit on own.
Taco, our guide was very nice and informative.
Govt areas , palace, street of linden trees, history of the royals to current times. I recommend this to first time visitors.
This is a great tour, especially if you enjoy history and architecture. It's also awesome for helping you to get your bearings in the centre of the city. Our guide, Ronald, was an excellent storyteller and injected a lot of humour into his stories. Definitely recommend!
Reduan was an amazing guide! We had a great time. And the pace was perfect, a great experience for our first day in the Netherlands!
Oscar gave us a great tour! So glad we went on the day that he works (wednesday morn) so that we could enjoy his stroll through The Hague. Honestly, right now, there's so much construction, I was wondering if it was even worth it to go - but Oscar gave us such a great tour, I'm glad we didn't skip.
This was a fantastic tour with Reaudon. He’s extremely knowledgeable and took us to see all the highlights of The Hague!
Very informative, Ronald was a wonderful guide. Highly recommend. The Hague is a treasure and a must see destination.
Taco was amazing and showed us the city and it’s history in a very funny way. Highly recommend taking the tour
Ronald was terrific .. so friendly, professional and knowledgeable this was one of the best tours we have done. Perfectly balanced and paved an unmissable tour. Thank you Ronald.
It was a great way to learn a little history of the Netherlands and a great introduction to the city of Den Haag.
With our excellent tour guide Niels.
Oscar was incredibly knowledgeable and a very nice guide. His passion for The Hague enhanced the experience.
Not a lot of walking, lots of the city under construction so maybe not visible which is a bummer reliant on Google to fill visual gaps.
Very good mix of walking and stops at interesting places. Ronald was knowledgeable, kind, and patient with the slower walkers in the group.
