For cruise travelers, we will pick up the guests at the Exit Gate of the Suva Port. The tour Guide will be waiting for you with your names on the signboard. We pick up from the meeting point around Suva. If you want to be picked up from another area than Suva, extra cost will apply.

Friendly staff. Chaotic time. Misleading description

The guides were nice people, but the tour itself was a disaster. The listing describes it is a "Private Tour," yet we were packed into shuttles with multiple other groups. The "customizable" aspect disappeared as we were rushed out of the waterfall (after only 15 mins of swim time) to wait 30 minutes for transport shuffling. We ended up cutting the tour short just to get away from the frustration, only for the driver to take us on a long detour through a local (poor) neighborhood we didn't ask to visit. This added time for no reason. Management needs to update their description to reflect that this is a shared shuttle service, not a private tour.

Water Fall Hike Needs Park Benches

Guides were great. It just a long hike and no park benches to rest on the waterfall tour. Also boards need to be repaired and in some places added for safety.

A bad experience for our group of 6. Tour was suppose to be 3 hours long and customizable and private for just the six of us. We had a time limit so we agreed to go with a group on a bigger van. The van was terrible, very dirty with old ripped plastic covers. The windows were dirty. You could not take a picture through the windiows.The air condition did work. As the tour started, Mike, the bus guide, stated the tour would be 5 hours long. We told him we expected 3 hours, so he did agree to get us back to ship in 3 hours, which he did. The tour took us to the waterfall, which was not what we wanted to do, but was part of the 5 hour tour. We sat on the bus for about 15 minutes waiting for Peter, the tour guide, to show up to lead the waterfall tour. The road to the waterfall was about 2 miles of painful body jarring bumps. Mike the van guide was great. He was best part of tour. When we returned, I looked up tour description we purchased. It was suppose to be 3 hours and suppose to let us tell tour guide where we wanted to go. And suppose to be a private tour. Ester was suppose to be our tour guide. She send information telling us where to meet and to look for a sign with our name on it, we never saw Ester or a sign with it name on it. There was a group who arrived before us who were told they might have to wait 2 hours for their tour. Really, just a disorganized mess. I would not recommend this tour.

Great way to see Suva Highlights

Mike was a fabulous guide - informed, interesting and friendly. Our family had a great day (despite the very rainy weather) exploring the highlights of Suva with him. The bus was huge and brand new and there were only three other familiy groups with us for the first half of the tour.

Disappointed....Ripped off!!

This was a terrible experience and a rip off money wise, $169 was what we paid through Viator. We were in Suva two days and paid $40 for this tour on our first day through a private vendor we found when getting off the ship. It was not the guides fault she was just doing her job. Many vendors charge $20-40 for this tour so don't purchase through Viator. We did try to get a refund but were denied. Our paperwork said CUSTOMIZED tour. The operator said that does not mean private. They would not take us to see anything other than what we saw the day before which was very local. Also tried to put 4 ppl in a very small car so the other couple got their money back. We did not know we could get a refund since it said 24 hour notice but they did. We don't plan to book with Viator again.

There are two types of customized tours available: the general customized tour (Shared Tour) and the private customized tour. You selected the Customized Tour (Shared), and we honored that choice. Regarding the vehicle situation, the couple opted not to share the tour because they noticed you were unwilling to have other participants in a 6-seater vehicle. In light of this, we agreed to issue them a refund for your comfort. It is also concerning to learn that you contacted Viator to request a refund for two participants, citing a duplicate booking. I must clarify that there was no duplicate booking made, which makes this request misleading hence why Viator rejected the refund request. We value your feedback and appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Awesome Day in Suva

We had an amazing day in Suva. We started our day by meeting Joel near the cruise terminal gate. He was very welcoming and friendly. Took us to Colo-i-Suva early in the morning before there were any groups. He guided us through the rainforest trail. It was just us and another couple absolutely wonderful. We got to learn about the different trees and their medicinal qualities. Then after a nice hike Joel lead us to the lower falls where we were able to jump in and enjoy the refreshing pool. It was wonderful. Honestly this would have been enough to make our trip amazing but Joel did not stop there he took us on a tour around the city and showed us the many government buildings then took us shopping. He was a great guide very accommodating. If you are looking for a personal tour I recommend this tour group.

Exceeded All Expectations!

Peter, the owner of the company, communicated with us to be certain we knew where to find our tour. The 4 of us were promptly met outside the pier by Joel, a very kind minister, with a clean, comfortable air-conditioned vehicle that could accommodate 7. Joel's English was excellent, as was his French. His voice is booming, allowing everyone in the vehicle to hear. He listened to our goals for the excursion and established a plan for us to see everything. One of our members had mobility challenges and Joel assisted him as needed. We saw and learned so much more than we expected and completely enjoyed this intelligent, articulate, compassionate man who has a great sense of humor.

Not as expected

This was not the experience we had come to expect from Viator. It did not start well as nobody was at the quay side with our name, we later found out they were calling our name out. After phoning the operator we met up with a guide. We had booked a customised tour for four people but we were out on a bus with several other people and told what our tour would be. This involved visiting a waterfall, we had avoided this as one of our party had mobility issues. We walked the first part of the trail but then spent the next hour sitting on a bus in the car park. The waterfall visit took 3 hours , after the other passengers left to go back to the ship we had an hour to visit other sites. This was a very unsatisfactory trip and if this was our first experience with Viator it would probably be our last

Accessibility issues and unmet preferences: In our product requirement and when we started the tour, we announced the itinerary and the program by stating that the waterfalls tour required guests with unrestricted mobility. However, this was not pre notified by several parties of the groups. Hence the reason do the delay. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we want to make things right. Best Tour in Suva

My wife and I really enjoyed this tour. It was very informative and, since it was a private tour, it was also very relaxing. John and Livinia were great tour guides. We highly recommend them. They were both very knowledgeable about the Fijian culture and traditions, and they taught us a great deal. At the end of the tour, they took us to a Fijian restaurant ( at our request) and we had authentic local cuisine. The kokoda was very good. Overall, this was one of the best tours we’ve taken. And we definitely credit our enjoyment to John and Livinia. Thank you for making this tour special.

Peter was an extremely friendly, knowledgable and flexible guide. He covered all the things we were interested in on our ancestry trip to Suva and provided in depth information and many stories we were unaware of about my family. He went beyond the call of duty in trying to help us find the gravestone of my great grandfather and gave us many pointers for our onward search.

Great guide and driver

Suva cruise dock was a little bit of a gauntlet with vendors being aggressive. It was nice to have a prebooked tour. Peter was great to meet us at the meeting place on time. He spoke well and was very informative. The village was a nice cultural experience. You see the town and hike thru a forest to a waterfall for swimming.

STAY AWAY FROM VIATOR

There was no info given on where to meet driver (at cruise port). Driver is not licensed to enter port. We luckily found him but by then it was 30 min past tour start time. Driver walked us to decrepit parking lot where we were shoved into decrepit taxi cabs with other people. Thus, this was NOT a private tour as indicated. Also, it was not self directed as indicated. The driver took us to a waterfall, and was on his phone texting, doing banking and talking the whole time. He was a nice guy but this tour was not at all what we expected or paid for. Breathtaking at every turn

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guides were knowledgeable and friendly. We walked the rain forest and down to the lower pools where we enjoyed the waterfall, swimming, jumping off rocks and the friendly laughter and chatter of the locals. Truly a wonderful experience.
