    Excellent Guide with Strong Command of History, Culture, and Language

    Luc met us promptly at the Phu Muy port gate and introduced himself with a smile. He had been very responsive to communications regarding itinerary and details in advance. We headed out for the 2 hour drive to Ho Chi Minh City to visit a multi-media arts depot with short demonstrations of Vietnam arts and crafts along with shopping. Went to very fine tailor to custom order men’s and women’s apparel. Continued to Vietnam embroidery and Post Office. Passed by several key monuments and stopped to take pictures. Since it was the Lunar New Year, there were many places to capture special moments. Stopped for a bite to eat and shared a meal with Luc. This gave us an opportunity to dig deeper into socio-political comparisons. It was a special day, well-paced and insightful. We got an impressive overview; certainly enough to know we must go back. Highly recommend!
