This was a great tour with Mikah and Sergio. They were professional, kind, and attentive to our needs. The boat ride in Matka valley was amazing, we almost miss this ride thinking it was not safe, glad we changed our minds and had a memorable experience. Snacks and wine tasting was great. Mikah was knowledgable and funny. I highly recommend this tour…

Best guide ever! Explanations, sense of humor, landscape...all 10/10
I will repeat with them for sure!
The tour requires a lot of driving time in the van. Bring snacks, as the brunch is a cheese bread bun and served at the end of the experience. Bring cash for the 'optional' tour inclusions (boat and church). The highlights of the tour are really these 'optional' activities that you pay for separately. If your goal is more so to have guided transport to the areas and not necessarily added experience from the tour, your expectations will be met. There is a lot of storytelling history given during the day.
Very good trip, guide was very nice and friendly. A tasty brunch is included.
A beautiful experience to recommend!
Between the beauty of the canyon, the church and our guide, Miha’s stories, it was a very nice half day outing in a comfortable van, well organized and interesting. The boat ride & cave visit are well worth it. The little picnic at the end was charming.
Great experience and day exploring some mist visit spots! Guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The van is comfortable with good A/C.
I will not elaborate here but will just want to agree with most of the great reviews on here. Mica and his brother in law led us on two mini vans. We had an amazing time and he will definitely make even the dullest day, bright. Thank you Mic.
Matka Canyon and boat ride to Vrelo cave was unforgettable, plus the visit to St. Panteleimon Monastery and Mt Vodno views were stunning. Our tour guide, Miha, was very informative and my young adult children and I really enjoyed the tour.
Mika’s was a great tour guide. He was very passionate about Skopje and Macedonia! He was well informed. I highly recommend you tour with them.
The tour guide Miha explained at the start he's not a conventional tour guide and he does things in his own unique style.
After getting in the minivan we arrived at Matka Canyon, which I thought was strange as it was the third place on the itinerary, but that appeared to be Miha doing things his own way.
The boat to Cave Vrelo is clearly advertised as an exclusion, but what that doesn't say is the 500 den boat is not the one Miha recommends and he encourages the group to book the "Ferrari" 600 den (10 Euro) boat option. The itinerary mentions an organised surprise here - the only surprise was the upgraded boat option, which we each paid an additional 100 den for.
Next we went to the Church of St. Panteleimon. Leaving there someone asked Miha if the Millennium Cross is next. He said it wasn't and we wouldn't be going there as the cable car was closed. That was the first time he'd mentioned any issue with visiting Millennium Cross (a key part of the advertised tour). Apparently the cable car operator decided it would be serviced that week, and hadn't given much notice, but it was Thursday by then and Miha had known for a few days it would be closed that day and open again by Saturday.
I heard from other tourists that other tour operators gave customers the option of rebooking to a later date or doing a hike to reach the summit. Miha's alternative? Use the time to give everyone a political lecture on Macedonia and former Yugoslavia, which included 'facts' that were disputed by other official Macedonian tour guides. As I heard stories from 4 different official tour guides during my stay I felt I got a balanced view overall, but it's possible others left without hearing the different interpretations.
The included brunch was a chicken and cheese sandwich (anyone stating they were a vegetarian got an alternative option), Macedonian wine (soft drink alternative available) and coffee, which was offered on outdoor picnic tables near a hotel.
Excellent day tour of Matka. Van provided comfortable transportation from a centralized pick up site. Mika, our tour guide, was amazing as he was not only entertaining, but passionate about the history of Skopje. Would highly recommend, especially trying the different tours offered!
If you’re thinking about doing the Canyon Matka, St. Panteleimon, Millennium Cross & Brunch tour, just book it. Honestly, one of the highlights of my trip.
The meeting point is super easy to find, just across the bridge, and the small bus setup makes it feel really personal, not one of those big crowded tours.
But what truly makes this experience is the people. Miha and his brother-in-law are absolute legends. So much love, laughter, jokes, and even a bit of wine along the way, it felt more like a day out with friends than a tour.
The picnic brunch was such a beautiful touch too, just relaxing, taking in the scenery, and enjoying great company.
I would recommend this 1000% to anyone visiting Skopje. Such a fun, warm, and memorable experience.
100% worth your money!! The guide is amazing and you seek a lot of information on the guide. Its equally fun and we made great memories.
Tour shows you most important places in Skopje with a plan and it is good that not a full day tour. Fulfilling everything that you may expect in a tour in Macedonia. Guides Miha and Mehmet are great and helpful. Doing the best they can.
This was absolutely fantastic! Make sure to be with Mika, he is so great. My family had a lovely time, from 2yrs-75yrs old!
Very informative and entertaining tour to Matka Canyon and Millennium Cross. The guide was very accommodating and knowledgeable.
Fantastic Half-Day tour, seeing key landmarks around Skopje. Amazing and knowledgeable guide and great value for money.
The trip was really nice and I loved that we could see the mountain views of Skopje from the top. However, every last Tuesday of the month, the cable car at Millennium Cross ia closed so we could not take it. I would have loved to take it.
Miha was brilliant! He was very accommodating and did everything to make sure we all had a lovely day. Would highly recommend booking this tour!
Great way to see the highlights of Skopje. Very kind and personable guides with a wealth of knowledge and professionalism. My only regret is not bringing more cash, several activities on the tour require cash.
The guide, Even, was exceptional, very personable, and very knowledgeable, careful driver, clean & comfortable van, and nothing was rushed, he chatted to everybody in the warm & manageable 6pax group, & gave us an insight in to outside Skopje. The Macedonian wine was exceptionally good to!!!

This small group tour was one of the best ones I’ve ever taken. Miha clearly cares about his guests and he has lots of interesting stories about his country and life. He also took us to the canyon first and as a result we avoided all the crowds that came after. He provided wine and food and a local lady whom
he befriended through the years sang folks songs for us. Highly recommended.
Very good tour company. Miha and his partner were excellent. They even offered us all drinks/sandwiches and coffee which was not part of the deal. Real surprise and very thoughtful
This half day tour is great experience ever in my entire solo trip adventure. MIHA is phenomenal. His sense of humour, no dull moments. Very energetic from starting till end of tour. His superb very knowledgeable and very detailed. We are group of 15 in different countries. This tour is great for everyone no age limit. He will take care of you till end.and also Mohammad very friendly and he talks about history too. I had very nice experience with this tour and recommend to.book with them. MIHA THANK YOU FOR THE LUNCH ESPECIALLY UNLIMITED JUICE AND WATER. YOUR AMAZING
This tour is absolutely fantastic and worth every penny!! The guide is very professional and is so knowledgeable. I had such an amazing time and I learned so so much. Thank you!
Miha, our guide, was AMAZING. SO MUCH packed into a relatively short day. Beautiful views and amazing Macedonian hospitality. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Skopje!
This was a great tour! There are quite a few tours all going to the same places but I’m so glad I chose this one- Miha was very knowledgeable and created a friendly environment for us all. The transport was comfortable and getting brunch was a lovely extra touch. I highly recommend booking ☺️
A must-do while in Skopje! We had a lovely time. The van was clean and comfortable. Our guide was very friendly and informative!
I had a great time from about 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, even with the gloomy weather. I reckon visiting Matak Cave on a sunny day would be a whole different experience, especially since we had to get on a small boat. A big thanks to our tour guide, Miha, for his thoughtful suggestion to provide us with a boat that had shelter. I really enjoyed chatting with him; he shared loads of interesting historical facts and insights into local culture.
Great trip and great tour operator. Highly recommend. Tour operator is very experienced and knowledgeable
