Really cool experience to do in Sarajevo

We never done MTB before but it was one of the best experience I have done! Our guide was fun and motivated us during the long ascending. The climbing of the mountain last 3 hours so be prepared to sweat! The frequent breaks and the points of view more and more beautiful as we ascend took our pain away :) After the lunch at the top of the mountain we began our descent into rocks, forests, trails, asphalts and so on. So fun to let the steep guide us with speed. We then cycled on a little portion of the abondoned bobsled infrastructure which was constructed in 1984 but not used since the war. Overall a really great and unique experience. I would not recommend it to everybody though, as you have to be in shape to climb the 1000m to get to the top of the mountain.

Who knew that Bosnia had some of the greatest tours? The tour guide was this awesome guy who was far too patient with my slow pace as I suffered up the mountain. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. Most of your time on this trip will be spent pushing a bike up steep paths, so be prepared to either struggle on the bike or on your feet (assuming you are like me and aren't in particularly great shape). There is a cable car that can take you halfway up, and I believe he said that they will take you up in a van for an extra fee if it is just too hard. The lunch was a small travel tray with traditional local food. He carried it in his backpack, so don't expect too much. I really enjoyed it though. The trip back down the mountain was wonderful! The trails were fun and the scenery was distractingly beautiful. The only problem for me was that the bikes weren't the proper mountain bikes I was expecting. They were not optimal for trail riding, but they didn't feel unsafe. All in all, this was the best tour I have ever been on. If you are a fan of mountain biking and hiking up mountains, this is definitely the trip for you!
