We will meet at a designated spot and go up to Trebević to the starting point of the hike. The hike will start from the abandoned bobsleigh track on Trebević. We have around half a kilometer on a flat trail, after which the 5 kilometer long hike starts. The highest peak of Mountain Trebević is a perfect spot for our picnic lunch! After lunch, luckily, the hike does not continue uphill, but rather we will enjoy a walk down the mountain through a wonderful forest. The elevation gain in this tour is approximately 700 meters.

Mostar, Konjic, Blagaj, and Pocitelj are all highlights of Herzegovina, but seeing all of them from Sarajevo can be tricky without hiring a car. A little north of Sarajevo lies Mount Ozren, with many peaks offering stunning views of Bosnia's capital. One of them is Bukovik, with an altitude of 1,534 m. On our way down, we'll leave the wide, open areas behind and enter a beautiful, peaceful forest where one of the highest waterfalls in Europe is hidden. Its name is Skakavac, and it stands 98 meters tall. An easy 20-minute walk to see the waterfall is optional, and if you don't feel like doing it we don't have to, but we highly recommend it! Along the way, we will also visit the Grdonj viewpoint and Crepoljsko peak, both of which offer stunning views of Sarajevo and the surrounding mountains. Be prepared to take some beautiful photos.

First stop on tour will be a short walk on the edge of Perućica forest. Perućica is one of the last primeval forests in Europe, at the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage. We will walk to a viewpoint overlooking the forest and admire the views on Skakavac waterfall as well as the rocky peaks of Maglić, Volujak and Zelengora high above. The hike itself follows the Postmans' route. This is the easiest trail that takes 34h to reach the peak, but it is not for those afraid of the heights. You need to be strong on your feet, and able to walk on hard terrain for prolonged period of time. The first part is very easy, slowly ascending through the forest on the trail that was used by partisans during the WWII to avoid the Nazi troops. Once we leave the forest, the mighty northern face of Maglić appears. We will enjoy the view while we walk on easy trail to the foot of the mountain. Stunning views on mountains in central Bosnia and Montenegro will make all our effort worthwhile.
