Port of Santos / SANTOS City Your driver will be waiting OUTSIDE the Port for your contact. Once you collect your luggage, please call/whatsapp the driver to meet outside. The Port Staff (wearing green jackets) can assist in locating or calling your driver. Please walk to the main gate P3 and wait by the curb outside, where the driver will pick you up. You MUST have a phone connection at all times. All communications are via WHATSAPP only.

Our Viator driver provided an excellent experience. He greeted us right as we exited baggage claim, which made our arrival smooth and stress-free. We had a two-hour drive, and he was a very safe, careful driver the entire time. We felt completely comfortable and at ease on the journey. Friendly, professional, and reliable—highly recommended!

The port was a nightmare. Two cruise ships unloading and loading, plus whatever else goes on at that location. I use a mobility scooter and by the grace of God it broke just before I left the ship. Crew was awesome improvising my transfer to shuttle. When arrived at port had to get a second wheel chair and a young woman with some government agency brought it and said she could assist as she spoke English pretty well and I speak no Portuguese. She made contact with my driver who speaks no English. It took her and him talking on the phone about an hour to get my ride to where a pickup was possible. Were it not for her I don't know what would happen. The driver was so patient and worked so hard to make sure that he was doing the best job of finding us. Without these two "angels" my wife and I might still be at the port in Santos and not at home safe and sound in Virginia. Obviously Viator makes sure that the folk with who they contract of reputable and are willing to go above and beyond. If my experience is any example and if Viator makes sure that all contractors they use are as responsible as ours I recommend you use them. That port is "hell on earth" and one needs one's angel to help them navigate it.

Communication was good with the driver the day before and morning of via WhatsApp. However she was 30 min past the pick up time I booked. I know the power is very busy but assume a driver would know to take this into account. The drive to São Paulo was fine. We were just waiting in the sun for the pick up. There were lots of companies offering transfers for a cheaper price. Can’t say if the service would have been better. We paid a premium price for a late start and an average car.

I reserved a van and was scheduled for a transfer to the cruise ship. The driver messaged and said he was on his way and never showed to pick us up. We had to separate into to taxis to get to the port. We were very disappointed.

This was the worse experience I have ever had with any company! I am going to spread the word to never deal with your company ever! I am requesting some type of compensation for the inconvenience that I had to go through, I didn’t receive the service that was promised to me by contract!
