This is a day-long tour but we were glad we took this tour as an introduction to the history, culture and life of people in Istria Peninsula. Rovinj, Motovun and Groznjan are must-see places for the first time visitors in Istria. Dennis our tour guide went above and beyond to provide much information about the tour. He is knowleadgeable and patiently answered all of pur questions with kindness. We felt that he is more to our friends than a tour guide. We highly recommended Dennis as a tour guide. He took care of our group eating in Mondo, also a highly recommended restaurant in Motovun, thanks to Dennis recommendation.

Denis gave a great tour at all locations with a great mix of history and culture to give you a great feel for life in Istria. Very informative but also some free time to let you further explore areas of interest, take a break at cafe, or get some shopping in. Denis went above and beyond to show great hospitality and get reservations at wonderful restaurant, Mondo, in Motovun so we could have delicious meal featuring the local truffles.

A small group tour of three highlights of the Istrian peninsula. Our guide Denis was excellent, he looked after the group really well and provided an informative narrative over the full day. Top tips: join Denis for the meal in Motovun (truly excellent), climb the tower (it'll be obvious), explore the back streets (you'll get time for this)... and try the truffles. Recommended!

We had a wonderful day with Denis. Both towns we visited were interesting and beautiful but Denis really made the day with the information he provided, the stories he shared and his love of his country. I recommend this as a day trip from Rovinj.

We travelled with Mio. Enjoyed the countryside of Istra. He told us this was his second guided trip. He gave us a good feel of local life here, and it’s history. We appreciated his commentary.

Tour was cancelled by guide. I hope I wasn’t charged. It was too late to book anything else. I’ve used Viator for all my trips and this was first time it was cancelled.

Great way to see more of Istria. On the plus side you get round a lot of places, but inevitably don't have much time in each place. Motovun was a highlight - small but perfectly formed. Nice that it is a small group tour (max 8) and comfortable van.

We had a great day in Istria our tour guide Dennis was friendly and extremely knowledgable. We enjoyed his anecdotes about his family life too which made the tour a lot more personable. Our highlights were Motovun and the truffle tasting and learning about the area and Groznjan was beautiful with some liquor tasting and fantastic views from the restaurant where we sampled the seafood pizza and polenta with truffle sauce, yummy and reasonably priced 😊! Walking through the cobbled streets listening to the talented pianists was lovely! A great day out! Thank you!

Stunningly beautiful buildings..hilltop churches and quaint shops made this the almost perfect day..our driver knew just where to take us..nice lunch bought atop a mountainside town

Croatia is a beautiful country. We visited 3 villages, one on the coast and 2 on hilltops inland. It was a good range of history and sights. The tour guide, Denis, was knowledgeable and interesting and he had umbrellas for us in case of rain. We had a 30 minute tour of each village and then were on our own for about an hour. It sounds like a lot of time, but it really isn't because there is plenty to see, especially if you want to eat. Wear good walking shoes, because you'll be hiking up and down a few inclines. And if you get car sick, this may not be the option for you due to the switchbacks on the hills.

This was the second time we’ve done this tour (did it September 2023.) The actual tour takes you to three incredible town well worth seeing.. They are magical, Our guide was kind and knowledgeable.
Having said that, the tour could be improved with the following:
1, The guide’s command of English was not up to par with other Viator tours I’ve taken making it hard to understand.
2.. When sitting in the back of the van, the guide was very hard to hear. Last year the guide on this same tour used a mike and that made a huge difference. I would recommend requiring all guides to do the same.
3. There was another family on our tour who had great difficulty with the walking demand of the tour. They were surprised and disappointed that they weren’t told how strenuous the tour was. The family included an elderly mother and a young couple who were not in the best physical shape and they really struggled. I suggest adding information in the description that the tour requires a lot of walking over uneven terrain.
All cities and villages were fun to visit. Our guide Agusta was excellent. She was knowledgeable and explained everything very well. She had awesome personality. She made the whole day interesting and enjoyable. I highly recommend this excursion of Istria

We spent the day touring a three stunning towns in Istria with Augusta as our guide: her knowledge and passion for Croatia as a country really shone though. It was so ingesting to get a deeper understanding of the culture and the towns we visited. Tasting truffles for the first time was absolutely fabulous 😍 I would highly recommend.

Scenic drive and stopping to take photos. Lunch with a beautiful view. Truffle tasting. Very knowledgeable tour guides and smooth driving given the terrain. Having free time to roam. I was travelling solo so it was nice that others offered to take my photograph. In total it was a very well organised, smooth and enjoyable experience! I genuinely would recommend this trip to others and consider other trips for myself in the future. Thank you

There were only six people on our tour which made it a more personal experience. The tour guide Sinsi was very knowledgeable and interesting as he walked us through Pula. At each stop along the way he explained the history and significance of each location. Well worth the price for such a wonderful time in Pula.

Fantastic day. Spacious air conditioned vehicle, wonderful guide who clearly loves his job. Quite a long day but nicely paced. All three of the areas we visited (Porec, Groznjan & Motovun each had their own charm & were well worth the visit.
