Overview

Experience the thrill of scuba diving without committing to a full course when you book this introductory dive in Cyprus. This program is suitable for ages 10 and above and includes a brief theory session followed by a breathing practice in shallow water. Then dive with your instructor to a max depth of 33 feet (10 meters) to discover vibrant marine life, and a chance to encounter turtles and explore a statue garden.

What a great experience! This was our first time scuba diving and we cannot recommend it enough! Claire and Ivy really took their time to make us feel comfortable and always had a smile on their faces. Pick up and drop off worked great, we got introduced into all the details about scuba diving and had a great time under water. But what stood out for us was their passion for diving and giving us a good time. We'll definitely come back on our next cyprus vacation. Thanks again, guys!!

I had the most wonderful time with Temper Divers, their instructors Claire and Evie were friendly, kind and made sure both I and my partner felt comfortable during this experience. Initially my partner struggled going under the water but Evie made everything seem doable with her calm and reassuring approach. My partner, who nearly gave up, ended up swimming down and loving the experience once he conquered his fears. I however, instantly fell in love with being under the water and swimming around the beautiful sealife. We had videos and pictures of our experience to remember it by. Thank you to our amazing photographer and instructor who made everything memorable. I would give this 1000 stars if I could and the only thing I would have done differently, was to book this at the start of my holiday as I would have gone again and again to discover more stunning underwater destinations with Temper Divers.

This was my sister's and mine's first diving experience and we can't praise it enough. Both instructors were very kind and patient. They picked us up at the agreed location and took us to the dive site. Than lent us all the equipment and helped us put it on properly. They gave us a crash course on what to expect, what to do, how to communicate and so on. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. Underwater they made sure everything was okay and even documented the whole experience for us. Then they invited us to have a homemade frappé with them, which was very refreshing after the dive. The whole time we felt safe and taken good care of even if my sister was bit nervous in the beginning.

I went scuba diving today with my boyfriend. It was his very first time and the whole experience was fantastic. The instructors were great, everything felt safe, and we even rounded it off with a nice coffee afterwards. Definitely an experience I can recommend!

Unforgettable diving with the best instructors

I was in Ayia Napa with my friend and we wanted to try something new, so we took a diving course. Claire and Ivy were our instructors. Claire was so kind and friendly, she explained every step in a way that even beginners could easily understand. Later in the water, Ivy guided us during the dive. There were only three of us, so Claire and Ivy could focus fully on us the whole time. They constantly checked if we were okay and made sure our equipment was working properly so the experience felt safe and comfortable. It was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it, especially with such lovely instructors!

Amazing experience!!! Claire and Ivi were so friendly, knowledgeable and professional, and the dive Ivi took us on was so special. We saw so many interesting fish, and some underwater sculptures and learnt a lot about diving (hand signals and special skills). We also were in the water for a good amount of time and didn’t feel rushed at any point. It was our first time properly diving, they made us feel so welcome and also looked after us really well. Would definitely recommend this diving school for first time divers, was 1000% worth every penny, and because of them, I definitely want to go diving some more!

I'm still speechless.. Can't explain with words what I'm feeling and what i experienced. Firstly the communication from the booking received was great. Details sent, pick up been arranged from the hotel. Claire arrived to pick me up , then from that moment i felt safe and knew that I was in the right place with the right person. She does it from her heart. Loving it and living it with her daughter. Professional training before diving, they made sure we are safe and understanding everything plus we are having a great time. Well, being under the sea, is just magical, you forget all your worries and problems, and you become one with this enormously powerful force of nature. Highly highly recommend them! Amazing experience, cannot recommend enough. Both instructors were fab, they made us feel really comfortable and at ease, any anxiety was washed away by their lovely personalities. What made it even better, they are mother and daughter with so much experience. We started with a pick up from our hotel, and a briefing with everything you need to know. They took us down to the bay, we got in the water with our equipment and they made sure we knew everything before setting off. We went to the underwater sculptures, sat with schools of fish and went as deep as we felt comfortable (all the way) We didnt feel rushed, they took their time and made sure we did everything we wanted to. The pictures were equally as amazing! 100% will be booking again on our next adventure to cyprus. Thank you both!!❤️

Amazing experience. Took my 2 children, 11 and 14. Claire explained everything very clearly, we got kitted up and drove 5 mins to the dive site. My 14 yr old and I, after a few minutes practicing where we could kneel, went down with Ivi to the statues and had a great 45 min dive. My 11 yr old was a little scared so Claire, after a chat with him, stayed at about 1 meter and followed us so he could see everything. The ladies could not have made us feel more safe or been more patient and helpful. We also paid for some amazing photos (not expensive at all) and Ivi also took some pics with our go pro for us. I cannot recommend Tempo dive school highly enough. Thank you!

Amazing experience, perfect for first time divers. The instructors were super great and very nice to us! Very easy to understand everything and they made us very comfortable with the diving gear before going deeper. Everything was perfect from beginning to the end, we got picked up by the hotel and driven home. The length was great, and we definitely will be back here next time we visit Cyprus, everyone agrees that this is was the highlight activity for our trip. - Team Norway

Overall good experience, my daughter (11) was very happy. I was not so much impressed, as I would like to go deeper and see more :) We were not lucky to see the turtle, but there where a lot of nice fish (3-4 kinds), the diving was done in shallow waters near the coast. Instruction was very clear, professional and entertaining, we had the best care and Claire explained everything in details in very friendly and encouraging manner. Don't be misleaded by some photos in description - this diving experience do NOT include seeing underwater sculptures :( And no tea / coffee afterwards. But that was not essential. :)

Very welcoming and reassuring hosts. Who are constantly checking you are okay down there. Perfect for first time divers. We barely had to lift a finger, everything is done for you in regards to the kit and transport. Well worth the money.

We had a really good time. The pre-diving safety briefing was really clear and helped ensure confidence and that they knew what they were doing. After a “rocky” first couple of minutes in the water for one of our small group who they gave helpful support and guidance to, we all set off under the sea. We were fully underwater for about an hour, saw loads of fish - even entire shoals swimming together - different sea weeds and sponges, some submerged statues, lots of rocks, and other divers and snorkelling people meters above. Evie, Photis, and Claire did a great job running the event. Some of the wetsuits and diving shoes looked a bit battered - i suppose it’s to be expected with the sea, sun and rocks of Cyprus hitting them everyday. The SCUBA kit all looked to be very well maintained. If you’ve never dived before like all of our small group, Tempo are highly recommended based on our experience.

An excellent all round experience. Claire was in touch with me via WhatsApp to confirm details and kept in touch throughout. Pickup from the hotel was prompt. It was only the second dive experience for my 2 kids and 1st time for my wife. It was done very safely and it was a lovely dive to see some underwater statues and an abundance of fish. I would strongly recommend.

THE BEST PARTS: 1. ATTENTION TO SAFETY & CARE: Tempo Divers is owned by a small family of professional divers (free divers and scuba divers). The wife, husband and daughter all have extensive professional experience and are driven on safety. They also ensure that diving is a peaceful, calm and wonderful experience for beginners who they urge to dive at their own pace. I love the attention to detail they provide to safety and you will never feel alone or unsafe as they are with you always in the water. 2. HARD WORK & FUN: They really work hard as a small family (kitting everyone with safe diving equipment, checking every single safety measure beforehand, loading up the trucks, driving and picking everyone up)...in such an efficient and fast manner! They explained all the technicalities of the diving gear without feeling bored or overwhelmed. They were working hard behind the scenes to make sure that we would have a memorable, fun, relaxing and safe dive...and this is KEY! 3. VALUE / WORTH: Very affordable for the great safety measures and fun, memorable experience. They also provide photos and videos of your experience for a very low cost. You get a lesson on safety and how to use the equipment. You also get some acclimatization excercises in the water so first-time divers feel comfortable. The dive is around 50 minutes long and it goes by so fast when you are having fun! 4. THE DIVE SITE: Easy, beautiful sculptures and statues underneath. Gorgeous, shimmery, colourful shoals of fish around. Interesting rocks and reef.
