One of my favorite things to do while traveling is learning the culture through food. I found this tour on Viator and was impressed by the glowing reviews. Well, I would like to add my own. Katie and her husband were amazing!!!! We booked during low season and were the only couple. I especially appreciate that shortly after booking, we were contacted and asked about food allergies (which I have). Upon arrival, Katie asked did we have specific food that we wanted to try and altered the tour on the spot to accommodate our list! Her husband joined us, and often went ahead to coordinate the next stop. They were like celebrities! Everyone knew them and extended their hospitality to show us and good time and delicious food.
DEFINITELY COME HUNGRY! My husband had to step in and take on most of my portions for me. We were able to try so many food options that we would not have found ourselves. Katie provided a lot of history on Phu Quoc, the food, Vietnamese traditions, etc. She also provided information for navigating the markets ourselves, and recommendations for the remainder of our trip.
I cannot recommend this tour enough, book now! It'll be like having a night out with old friends. We ran into Katie the next day at the amusement park, where she greeted us and checked on my husband who had a tummy ache from overeating. (100% my fault since I could not finish my portions. LOL) She gave recommendations for treatment and even continued to check on us for the remainder of our vacay. Thank you so much Katie and OK for going over and beyond just a basic food tour. This was hands down one of the best and most memorable experiences in Phu Quoc!

Katy was a great tour guide, we had so much fun exploring the town and night market. We went to 5 different stops and enjoyed them all.

I got lucky and was the only person that booked that night so it was more personal. Because of that I got to ride with her on her motor bike and she even took me to the mall so I could buy a traditional Vietnamese dress.
We stopped at 3 food places in total. I opted for the option were I’d pay for my own food and I think that was smart. I’m a very picky eater and food is very cheap in Pho Quoc. I think it’s a better value especially since you don’t know how many places/types of food you’ll be eating ahead of time.
I’d definitely book again.

Katie is an amazing host!!!! She took me and my sisters to some amazing spots to try local delicacies on the island. The food we tried was amazing. The food that we tried on the our was a mixture of well known Vietnamese dishes. Along with some new dishes that we were unfamiliar with. She was really attentive and took really good care of us. Ensuring that we enjoyed our time on the trip. Every time that we got to a new spot. She would give us details of the spot and the food we were about to eat. Not only was she knowledge about the food. She would answer all of our questions. Whether or not they were about the food. We really enjoyed our time with her. I really would encourage anyone that goes to Phu Quoc to do the food tour with her. You will have a blast with her.

Great fun food tour. Katie our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly and introduced us to a variety of delicious food from local vendors. The weather wasn’t great, but Katie and her husband did a great job keeping us as dry as possible.

I have done other food tours in other cities. This one was not the best. We were not guided on what to order at each restaurant. We were taken to each place, sat down, handed a menu and told to get whatever. When you don’t know the food or culture this is difficult. And when we asked for help we were just told everything is good. This was the most expensive food tour we did in Vietnam and it was the worst. Only went to 3 places plus dessert. Every other tour I went on I paid half the price, went to 6 locations and had a better time.
Guide was friendly and fun but some guidance would have been nice especially at the last location. I was hesitant to leave a bad review but since this tour was so expensive I hope to warn other travelers or get this team to make a better tour for people

So sorry because we didn’t fulfill your expectations. We truly understand that out of 100 of guests that we serve, it could be some how some guests are not happy about our service. We are deeply sorry. We wish to do it better next time if you have chance to visit Phu Quoc. Our island is a lot more different with other part of Vietnam. We understand that our price is different with other tours, but right now it help us to survive with all the monthly expenses that we have to cover. So we are happy to hear your feedback, we did talk to our guide, he realized his fault and he will learn from it. Great food tour with a lovely lady, Nay. Tried foods for the first time and I wasn't worried about eating various street foods as all the vendors were clean and ingredients were fresh.
Nay also gave a lot of information and education and was just really bubbly and friendly
Would definitely recommend this tour.

We went on the food tour with Katie earlier this week and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The selection of dishes we got to try was exceptional, each one offering a unique taste and experience. Fun tour to have a look at Phu Quoc town and night market if you are staying in a resort and spending most of your time there. Booking was easy with Katie communicating a day before to confirm details. Nay was a friendly guide. There was a stop at a street side grill, banh mi stall, hot pot store and finishing with coconut ice cream. Banh mi was the best, in my opinion

Amazing food tour. The guide TaCo was super friendly and funny and professional. He explained everything to us and he speaks very good English and really funny and friendly. Definitely worth doing while being in Phu Quoc.

We had a great time with the guide for 3 hours making 4 stops sampling local cuisine at each stop. We did some walk and riding. Excellent location wished I stayed closer in town. Our guide spoke English very well.

Katie was an amazing guide. Our group was small as it was the downtime of the season but she still made it memorable. The food was amazing and even after living in VN for 5 years, I still tried some new dishes. My picky parents loved the food. Katie was really good at keeping the conversation going and helping us choose which dishes to try to suit our tastes. 10/10 recommend.

Our tour included a range of local foods
And culinary traditions of Vietnam. Dong was very knowledgeable and shared a great deal of information not just about the local area but the whole of Vietnam. She also shared drinking customs and had a great sense of humor which contributed to a wonderful evening. We tried a range of foods including street BBQ, Seafood Hotpot, Bánh Tráng Nướng, fruit smoothies and coconut Gelato. It was fabulous to have a ride in a local open air taxi to the night market. As we were staying far away from Phi Quoc city in Green Bay transport was arranged for us at a reasonable additional fee.

It was fantastic to eat in local places and with local people. We visited places where we would never have thought to visit.
Katie, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and the food. Katie took the time to explain how things were prepared and cooked. There were some challenging options which we would never have eaten in our day yo day life but we tried everything.
The experience was great fun and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a good adventure.

Billy was a wonderful guide that taught us so much about local fishing culture and took us to temples. We had a great time with the other couple! I was nervous about the food being weird and too exotic but it was amazing and the tastiest and freshest Vietnamese food I’ve ever had. We got to dine with the locals in super clean eateries and food stands. Wonderful experience! Would recommend to anyone!
